I am crossing my fingers that "controlling with a smile" Adam gives way to the "let's have the MV out when I am on the TV" savvy businessman Adam.
This is the first Adam video (not counting TFM) without the band at all. Not available? Didn't fit the theme? Or, Adam is further establishing himself as a solo artist, front and center? Guess we will have to wait and see.

Wanted to bring this over from last night because Kimmel does a few small outdoor concerts. That's what Adam was scheduled for. I was expecting about 4 songs and I still have my ticket. It is a souvenir! I am hoping that when the album comes out, Kimmel will finally get him on. Rumor, last time, was that Kimmel ws pissed with the cancellation. I never completely understood the disconnect in the Kimmel cancellation. It was a late night booking -- outside of the safe harbor. So when the complaint was filed and Disney/ABC freaked out (picture a group of corporate lawyers in dark suits running around in panic here.)  The cancelled everything. But if Kimmel wanted to book him, why didn't he book Adam in 2010? Adam even returned to the AMAs. Maybe he will return this album cycle. ---- And I am so sorry you didn't get to see him. IMO, despite the revisionist history ABC, Dick Clark, and the AMAs tried to create in Nov of 2011, he was indeed banned from ABC. How Barbara got him on the View we will never know. I would guess it was just her clout. Jimmy doesn't have Barbara's clout. By late 2011, around AMA time when it seems the ABC situation changed, Adam had nothing to promote for Kimmel. I still think Adam was supposed to perform on the AMAs and Daughtry took his spot (for release date too!) when Adam took longer for the album. So, they had Adam present instead and did all their revisionist history PR so he is primed for this year! :  |

Adam is still maintaining a narrow lead in the Q102 Jingle Ball poll, and I'm guessing that either today or tomorrow is the last day for it, so if you want to throw in a few votes-- www.q102.com/pages/jb-brackets/index.htmlI voted in that Sophie's Challenge poll too, but have to ask: am I the only one who, so far, hasn't heard of any of the challengers? Mikey Wax? Young the Giant? Who are these people? Well, I hadn't heard of any of them. but, that doesn't say much. I don't really listen to any pop except Adam. However, I did wonder if they were featuring some of their favorite "unknowns" knowing that many fans would gravitate to the poll, and win or lose, it would be good exposure for the other artists. |

I had BTIKM streaming on my computer (from bed) at 4:30am today. My grandddaughter is leaving to go back to college and they were getting ready. Her boyfriend and her best friend stayed at the house last night, BF because she is going back, too, boy friend because he has been enlisted to help with the move since he doesn’t go back to his school for another week. ANYWAY, the bf wandered back to my room when she heard the music and stayed to listen to whole song again. “OMG, who is that. I love that song!” That, of course, brought an eye roll from the boyfriend because he’s familiar with my obsession. “Adam Lambert? Really, Adam Lambert? I never heard that before. Let me hear the lyrics again.” Of course I did, but at the same time had her go on the desktop right next to me to google the lyrics. She’s in love!!!! Love this! World domination, right around the corner! |

Other than highly invested stans, for most Adam fans he's been a solo artist all along and they have no clue about who his band members even are. At the GNT concerts I attended, when I spoke with casual fans, they didn't know anything about ANY of Adam's associates. |

I thought I read on the thread yesterday that the bass player and Cam were both out of town. And Tommy and Isaac hadn't tweeted anything about a shoot, so it was thought the band was not involved. But, what the heck do I know? |
