Well, one of those things one doesn't like to admit . . . I recall Adam saying in some interview that what he liked to cook was breakfast - and I'm pretty sure he said eggs and spinach . . . anyone else recall that? (The expression on Adam's face, once he's outside the store, to me seems to say - " Really? Pics of me grocery shopping again? Why? OOOkay.") (Also, I think Bob's Big Boy is a better name for E. 'cuz, I think I recall (again) that Adam mentioned a fondness for too many Bob's Big Boy burgers while he was in H.S. So, there's a little connection.) Well if you don't like to admit it, maybe I shouldn't either...but, yes, Adam did say he liked to make omelets and listed lots of things in it, including spinach. And, again, probably shouldn't admit this either, but in an interview where he was asked why he was so fat when he was younger, I think he said he ate too many Carl's Junior burgers. Maybe we are talking about a different interview though.

I love me a Spinach omelet with a touch of onion I saute first with the spinach and the a hint of grated Parmesan cheese! Yum! ;D That was in the glorious Donor's Choose chat. Someone asked him about Cheetos or Ramen and he said he didn't like crap food. He was drinking coconut water through the whole chat.

Talked to my sister and brother-in-law about our discussion. My sister almost always likes my niece's boyfriends while husband usually can't stand them. My bil never has a problem with my nephew's girlfriends while my sister has liked 1, disliked 3 of them. I see a pattern here. We are more critical of same sex we are, maybe it's knowing thought patterns, maybe it's competition. I really have no idea.
I was never fond of Drake as a match for Adam, or just in general. No reason whatsoever. When it was being bandied about that there was something between Adam and Tommy, fine with me. When there was a mini-uproar about Taylor and even Eber had to comment, I forced myself not to believe it because I've never been a Taylor fan. He seems very immature and high schoolish. I followed him on Twitter for a while, but it was aggravating, all silliness and 14 year old boy things. Sauli seems like a great guy with many of the attributes Adam displays. I hope they hang on to what they've got because it seems to be worth nurturing.
I do appreciate the company MyS*&@^#r, but I still don't see those clips. I'm thinking someone was verbalizing some wishful thinking. I hope I'm wrong.

So true and I've pondered why that is. Was it the Grammy nomination? Was it the success of the Glamnation Tour? Was it the fact he did not roll over after the AMA's but persevered and would not be denied???? I seriously wonder why the acceptance finally. Because I do feel an acceptance that was not there when he launched FYE. I guess I credit the fact he never, ever gave up. He rolled up his sleeves and worked his frikkin' butt off. Adam Fucking Lambert is my Idol forevermore. He has worked his "frikkin' butt off", but I think the success of his GNT really gave an extra push that started the ball rolling faster - the Grammy nom added respect and elevated his weight as an artist in industry eyes, and the EMA performance sealed the deal respectwise. Add to all that the fact that Adam Lambert is a unique and intriguing person with a kind and giving heart who knows who he is and owns it and gives a great interview. Much more could be said - but it all works together and has so perfectly converged at this time. 8-) I, myself, don't really think it was any one thing, but in some ways, everything. I have believed deeply this new era would be different, for whatever reason. I have long thought that Adam has worked against two main stigmas: being gay and the result of a competition show. I also truly believed most people believed he was very talented in spite of his competition show background and was more than his "gay" headline fodder. However, in media, you go for the sure thing. Sure, you should delve deeper, but that's what the deeper interviews did. The ones that were just there to post a headline and evoke clicks don't care. The TV networks are also going for the sure thing. First, you prove yourself as the "flavor of the month." Next, you prove yourself the Real Deal. Every actor wants a big "breakthrough" role, but they know they must follow it up with something substantial to merit that foot in the door. It really sounds like Adam weighed all his options when deciding on AI and he knew he'd be battling against the stigma. I don't think he really realized how stigmatized he'd be about the gay thing since he was so ingrained in a region and culture that didn't think all that much about it. For some reason, I felt deep in my gut all of this would dissipate with the next album. The Grammy nom (had already happened), the EMA performance, the collaborators, the quality of the music from those who have heard it ... are all part of the stars aligning. There is no ONE thing, but a bunch of things that were determined to fall into place somehow.

Yeah, I think I think this too. I do.not.want.to.minimize.the.EMA.performance....BUT...I also don't want to give it more weight than the enormous amount of effort Adam put into selling himself over the last two years. I can almost hear him saying he worked hard to get where he is and the EMA performance was just one of many steps along the way. To whomever above said there was a quantum shift after that performance, I hear you and I may even agree a little, but I also believe that shift wouldn't have happened if Adam hadn't primed the global brain over the last two years. Shit. My dog, 3:30, just side-eyed me after that statement. Seoulmate I need that doggie pic that looks at me with censure.
