One possible partial explanation for hearing WWFM a little more on the radio is that fans are requesting BTIKM, and the station doesn't have the go ahead to play it, but throws on another Adam track instead. I noticed this happened with my station back during that brief window when we were requesting the Aftermath Remix, they would play an Adam song shortly after my request, but it was WWFM. Regarding fan reaction to significant others of objects of devotion, I think that there is another dimension at play as well as shipping/tinhatting has muddied the waters a bit. We know there are a maybe not large, but significant and vocal, number of fans that don't like Sauli because he interferes with their ship. This has happened in other fandoms, the Supernatural fandom in particular I think has had some really crazy reactions towards the female significant others of the male costars because they conflicted with tinhatting the two male costars together, not just because they happen to be women. I'm talking about core fandom only really though, those that would know who the significant others were and spend time speculating about relationships in the first place. The casual fan/Polish tabliod may still think Adam is dating Drake  |

Yeah, I'd say we need to file that under W for Whatever. I voted quite a bit when I had the chance, but wasn't going to get invested in it at all. Was more doing it to give hits to Q, who has supported Adam. Really, will anyone even know or care who won other than those who are voting in finals? I doubt it. Adam has way bigger fish to fry and if it's harmless, have no problem with polls, but once fans start freaking out and guilting other fans, that's when I kind of shut down. |

One can find it off color, but it annoys me when people find it their personal responsibility to take someone to task for stupidity. My dh was in the pentagon the morning of 9/11 and it took me a few years for my heart to stop pounding and to stop ducking when we would have jets rerouted overhead. I've gotten over these kinds of comments long ago - it was tasteless but people say stupid things all day long. I can attest to this, I've been watching reporting on the republican primary all day. |
