I just wanna say that I think it's bullshit that KISS stations wouldn't play Adam bc he doesn't lean rhythmic enough. It may be true, but sorry...when I hear those kind of stations playing fucking IF I DIE YOUNG COUNTRY BULLSHIT then there is no reason they couldn't play BTIKM which leans more rhythmic than country certainly! lol Maybe if his song hits top 10 or top 5 they would play it, but if they didn't and they used that reason then I would call bs.
Now off to eat lunch bc I suspect that's why I am grumpy lololol

I don't know about other KISS stations, but Chicago Kiss does not lean rythmic. I have 4 kids 11 and under so we listen to KISS a lot in the car. They really aren't playing anything that you wouldn't find on Z100's playlist, it is more a matter of what they WON'T play. If that makes sense. I think they just don't find people coming off Idol to be "cool" enough for their playlist. Adele is played every hour. And Katy, Taylor, and Bruno. it's the same people all the time.

As chunkey said above, with some of the stuff they play, there really is no reason why they shouldn't play Adam. It's just that they won't. And with how much Hollywood seems to love him, TV, paps, celebrity sites... it is a big mystery to me (and a few others on this board) :-/

Forgive me for my ranting and scroll away, but I must release some of the love I am feeling after getting lost, once again, in the GNT thread--I only wish I could put into words all I am feeling. I have been obsessed for a while now and I've come a long way in understanding this obsession, thanks a lot to finding others like me here. I no longer question my sanity as often as I used to but, honestly, there's always that voice in my head saying, "what the hell are you doing acting like a preteen stanning a celebrity like this, when you have FAR more important things to be doing and caring about?" But then there are times like these when I get so much conformation that I'M NOT CRAZY, it's just that ADAM IS CRAZY GOOD! I know virtually nothing about music--I rarely listened before Adam, but when I read the discussion and link (thanks Cassie) in yesterday's thread about how well trained singers learn to breath from low in their abdomens--really I don't much understand other than "OMG that sounds REALLY hard" and "I can't picture anyone other top pop singers doing this!" If the professional opera singers are impressed why shouldn't I be? And today I read this San Fransisco concert summary by fionamom. She was witness to his fullbody-sound-making and confirmed that while I am just hearing the music, he is working it in more ways than I will ever understand with skills likely improved upon tirelessly since the age of 10. No wonder he sounds so special. Watching him perform in Costa Mesa, song after song, belting it out with a fierceness, backed by beaming grin, on his face....ohhh....I dare anyone to show me a performance from another that is more powerful, more skilled than SFW live. Yesterday someone posted his rival in the jingle ball competition, Avril Lavigne's performance--regardless of which song you prefer, there is no doubt Adam's performance was far superior to hers. Is that really the caliber of his competition?! Rewatching the concerts is my drug and really makes me feel like I am indeed witness to something amazing. It is days like this I have no doubts. WOW, NO WONDER I AM OBSESSED WITH ADAM. HE TRULY IS EPIC! (sorry, don't know how to quote other threads) fionamom re: San Fransisco show: "Sleepwalker. i am a singer and was so impressed with watching him do this one. big breaths from his waist up, singers fill their lungs from their diapraghms, i could see THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF HIS BACK/torso filling with air and he was just powerhousing those vocals out. sooooooo cool to see his physical breathing/singing technique in such a powerhouse moemnt. in fact im almost tearing up because seriously it was such a beautiful thing to see. like it takes work to sustain and support that kind of vocals and he was just cycling that breath through so positively and strongly an beautifully. any other singers know what i mean? not sure how to describe this. like a perfect melding of classical trained vocal technique with a more spiritual raw rock vocals technique. it's like the work is done down low in the torso to support the breath at the diapraghm and then the throat is open and he was just flowing with it and just FILLING the ENTIRE THEATRE WITH HIS VOICE. add to that his incredibly magnetic stage presence visually and the fab dancing and his physical beauty and the whole thing is just freaking overwhelming."
