Chicago Bulls! So, yes, I'm in Chicago. Which also means that I probably won't be hearing Adam on the radio until March (and I'm only kind of joking). I have been watching Adam since AI. I actually used to post a little back when we had PF. Yay - another Chicagoan! Welcome Yeah, based on last era, not having high hopes for hearing Adam on the radio here. The mix/lite type stations played WWFM a little bit, but no where close to high-rotation like some other parts of the country. I keep ~trying to listen to our Kiss station, but it is so awful it is hard to do. Way more rythmic leaning than stations like Z100 (which I listen to in my car on satelite radio) and truly annoying DJ's who talk too much. I think maybe those of us from Chicago are a little more zen - in a weird way, we are used to not hearing Adam on the radio and we know the WWFM was a hit song even though it wasn't played here. Obviously, other songs can be hits without being played here.  The only thing I can think of to do here for radio is keep requesting BTIKM at the Mix during their 8pm "UMixIt" thing. I don't ask everyday (sometimes I'm doing RL stuff and just don't get to it) but I asked for it to be added to the list 4 times last week and I'll keep that up. I have no clue if it will do any good, but I figure it can't hurt.... True, in the same boat here. The fact that WWFM and IIHY did so well without KIIS is the only thing that keeps me from storming their studio (just kidding!) Although, I honestly still can't figure out why Chicago or LA should be more rythmic than NYC! It is a mystery to me! |

I think there are only about four of us on here (jamie, pj...who else am I missing? Chicago; represent!) I've been requesting everyday on Mix103.5 to no avail , so jump on in! We can use the help. pjd, how do I do that MIX thing? Is it on their website? The whole Mix situation is truly frustrating when it come to Adam. I remember they did actually start playing WWFM, but it was way late in the game. And then they dropped it fairly quick. If you aren't Kelly, Carrie, or Daughtry this station just isn't very Idol-friendly (or Adam-friendly, imo).
So when should we start hearing about album promo---I SO want an appearence on SNL this time. And at least one morning show (really hoping for GMA) would be nice.

Go to this page between 8pm and midnight: www.wtmx.com/UMixIt.php. There is a spot on the right to search for a song that isn't currently showing on the list - so far, the only Adam song that will search is WWFM. THere is also a link to suggest songs for the list, that is what I have been doing. It brings up a popup where you type it in - no other info required, just the name of the song. |
