Brian May shares exciting news on next Queen and Adam Lambert tour: ‘The show must go on!’

BRIAN MAY has teased how the next Queen and Adam Lambert tour is already in the works, with Roger Taylor adding that "the show must go on!". The guitarist also shared how "incredibly demanding" their latest set of concerts has been and how he longs to interact more personably with fans in a post-pandemic world.

Queen and Adam Lambert’s extensive Rhapsody tour of the UK and Europe concluded in Finland last month. And just before their last shows there, Brian May, Roger Taylor and the singer gave a special Q&A for fans who tuned in to stream Rhapsody Over London’s Live Concert Film. Right at the end, host Simon Lupton said: “Amongst the questions that were submitted over 50 all asked the same thing. On behalf of all those people, I will ask it.”

Simon shared: “They want to know, when are you going to tour again? Just so you know, we had specific requests from Canada, USA, Mexico, all across South America, South Africa, the Middle East, all across Europe, China, Japan and Australia. Now I’m sure you just want to go and lie in a dark room and not think about touring for a little while [but] is there anything you can tell the fans? Is this the end of Queen and Adam Lambert or will the show go on?”

Brian teased: “We’re talking already, because of course you have to look into the future… We’re thinking, we’re talking, but we do need some time off. I think particularly Roger and I.”

Adam waded in: “But please let us finish our first one! I could use a break.”

I must say Adam is looking quite amazing! Nice that he's back in his own comfort zone again. Watching Oliver's goofy dancing makes me think of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer." LOL

Interesting that Brian is already talking about another tour, next time probably hitting a few of those countries they don't get to very often. He and Roger seem to want to keep going for as long as they can.

Just wanted to add my welcome to helena and ang25! I am one of the "old" fans who has loved Adam since his audition on American Idol and then his incredible journey on that show. I too am so grateful that he quit his job with Wicked and took the chance to pursue his dream. Adam has enriched my life in so many ways, and this site has been an incredible source for all things related to Adam and his career. I've seen him many times during his solo tours, and also many times with Queen. I'm thrilled that you two have become Glambert converts! I can't even imagine what it would be like to be essentially starting from the beginning to follow everything that has transpired with Adam during the past 13+ years - it indeed has been a roller coaster ride! But Adam never fails to keep surprising us - one of the many things I love so much about him.

You're not alone in discovering Adam through Queen or other ways throughout his career. He continues to gain fans once they experience his incredible voice, showmanship, and endearing personality. And once you're really hooked, Adam becomes an important part of your life. I don't know how I would survive without Adamtopia and the wonderful Glambert family that we have here. I am so very happy that you have joined us!!
