Adam Lambert Announces New Album 'Trespassing'

American superstar Adam Lambert has announced that his second album ‘Trespassing’ will be released in the UK on March 19th.
The American Idol winners album will be preceded by the single ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ on March 12th.
As well as executively producing the album, Adam collaborated with an all-star list of award winning artists, producers and songwriters on the record; including Pharrell Williams, Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly (who produced the new single), Benny Blanco, Bonnie McKee, Nile Rogers, Sam Sparro, Bruno Mars, Nikka Costa and BC Jean.
Lambert describes ‘Trespassing’ as "an exciting journey through the past two years of my life. It's been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I've experienced. All these songs honestly explore the ups and downs of my reality."
Anticipation for Adam’s new material was heightened in November of last year following his show-stopping performance with Queen at the MTV EMA Awards in Belfast, which saw Adam Lambert trending on Twitter in the UK.

Adam Lambert Wraps Music Video, Lines Up TV Performances For “Better Than I Know Myself”

The promo wheels for Adam Lambert‘s new single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” are really starting to move.
Over the weekend, the powerhouse singer tweeted that he wrapped the music video for the moody ballad with director Ray Kay at the helm.
“The BTIKM video has been filmed!” Adam tweeted. “We wrapped just before 4am! An intense 20 HOUR day!! Thanks to the amazing crew! Can’t wait to share.”
No word yet when the music video will be released, but until then, get ready to see Adam performing “Better Than I Know Myself” on a TV screen near you. According to RCA, Adam has lined up performances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for January 17 and Ellen on January 19.
“Better Than I Know Myself” is the first single from Adam’s long-awaited sophomore album, Trespassing, out on March 20.

Oh, Say, Can I Sing?
Sandi Patty, famous for her flawless rendition of the national anthem, isn't shy about asking to sing it again.
The Christian singer from Anderson and 10,000 of her closest friends are campaigning on Facebook and Twitter to allow the five-time Grammy winner to perform the anthem at the Super Bowl.
"If they want somebody who has a heart for her country and who has a heart for Indiana and has a major love for the NFL, I'm the girl," Patty said in a phone interview Monday.
The chances of that actually happening may be slim. Often, the anthem singer is a bit more famous.
Last year's crooner? Christina Aguilera. Before that were Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Billy Joel.
Rumors swirling for 2012 include Sugarland and John Mellencamp. Adam Lambert, born in Indianapolis but raised in San Diego, also has fans campaigning for him.
Even Patty concedes she may not be "famous enough."
"I totally understand if they need to choose someone else," she said. "But I would be deeply honored to be chosen to sing."

Performance times and dates have been attached to more than 50 musical acts playing free shows at Super Bowl Village.
High-profile acts will perform Jan. 27-29 and Jan. 31 through Feb. 4 on the Verizon Stage at Pennsylvania and Georgia streets. Emerging acts will perform Jan. 27 through Feb. 5 on the Pepsi Stage at Meridian and Georgia streets.

Lambert as Super Bowl Idol?

Adam Lambert seems to have quite the Twitter following. His fans recently started a “twitition” calling for Adam to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl next month.
Their reasons? He is from Indianapolis, the site of the game. Also, they believe it’s “clear” that his vocal skills are “globally unparalleled" and that "he is a consummate perfectionist & his musical flawlessness will captivate millions of hearts.”
Was this written by a 13-year-old girl in English class or a misguided copywriter? Do twititions have any legal standing? If so, why has no one started a twitition for the Maccabeats to sing at the Super Bowl?
