There are good singers in the world beside Adam and all ,if lucky, will find their place in the music world... It always makes me a bit upset when some folks feel insecure
about Adam's place with Queen, after all these years... It's great that Adam feels secure enough in his talent to always compliment and even help other talented
singers...

I haven't seen that Adam fans are insecure about Sam or MM for that matter. It was Sam fans who said he should take Adam's spot (like MM fans) and we were saying it is not going to happen. I think we are allowed to voice how we feel about Adam's secure place with Queen just like they are allowed to say he should be replaced, lol.
I knew that Adam had met Sam but did not know if he had met Taylor.

information on the 3 singers with the Queen section of the tribute.
Luke Spiller is first singer (WWRY) and not well known He opened for the FooFighters. I posted a link and a few quotes about Luke the other day.
From the article where he is expressing his excitement for being asked to sing with Queen
“I owe so much of where I am right now to him, from getting the opportunity to open up for the Foos … even coming to L.A., and sort of laying roots down here, which, again, was life-changing, and probably something that I wouldn’t have done if he hadn’t encouraged it,” Spiller said of Hawkins, who died suddenly in Bogota, Colombia, in March.
“So I owe him a great amount, and I kind of still do, with these shows that are coming up. I still kind of find it a bit ludicrous that I’m even considered to be on that bill, considering the lineup,” he continued. “It’s going to be a really bittersweet experience. In many ways I wish I wasn’t doing it, but I kind of know in my heart of hearts, and I can actually see Taylor jumping with excitement, if I was to have called him up and be like, hey, I’m going to be singing a couple of Queen songs with Queen, he’d be like, oh my god! I know that he’d be super excited for me.”
The second singer, Justin Hawkins, ( no relation to Taylor) was chosen most likely because he the lead singer in the Band The Darkness that Rufus Taylor plays drums for. As an aside the song Music Again from Adam’s first album FYE….was written by Justin Hawkins. One might or could assume that Justin and Taylor had crossed paths at some point.
The third singer was Sam Ryder, who placed second in the latest Eurovision contest. No comparison to Adam’s singing…but he Sam is very marketable right now!

Sam Ryder All 3 of them performed Queen songs before. LukeSpiller often looks like Freddie Mercury, a flamboyant performer. There are many videos of him singing Queen songs. youtu.be/ow70oQnQ9AYJustin Hawkins of The Darkness also performed Queen Songs before. The Darkness sometimes covers Tie You Mother Down for instance. He has sung with Brian and Roger before. Here is one of the many videos. youtu.be/g-DUpkz6a2Y Sam Ryder just posted his versioning Somebody To Love on TikTok some time ago and Roger apparently saw it. youtube.com/shorts/YQxsKXsizxA?feature=share

Awesome investigating…or you already knew! 😆 I enjoyed listening to all 3 vids! All of the singers sounded better in those performances. 👌 So easier to understand the thinking that went into being chosen! Thx! Edit add: And I must have been scrolling to fast to read the Rufus/Taylor messages. Imagine being in contact with someone/ friend…almost every day. The Taylors had an extraordinary connection with Taylor. Thx for those finds and posting them!

Thanks for all the information on the tribute. I didn't watch it, but I'm always sad when somebody talented like that dies way too young.
I cannot believe it's been 3 years since Superpower. Lordy, how did that happen??
