I ain't Skered of dancy Aftermath. I really love his vision, so I'm excited to see what he has for me! WWFM on AI.... Who would have conceived of that and it was awesome (aside from an overactive smoke machine.) it's one of my all time faves. Ditto! Who knows what it will be, but Adam has yet to disappoint me. Again, it most likely will be something I did not know I wanted.... LOL

You can use all the tags in Quick Reply as long as you type them in yourself. For example, I quoted you by typing Wow, continuous learning here at ATOP University!!!! Thanks for the tip!

IDK. It may play out better when coupled with the exiting Idol's footage. Good luck to him.

I don't have a problem "picturing" Aftermath as a dance song. Hell, they can make a dance remix out of anything these days, and often do. But the comments from Adam et al make me think it's not your ordinary remix, so I'm dying to hear it. But as for him performing it live? That I have a hard time picturing. I don't think I've ever liked a remix as much as the original. And, I'm probably wrong and pretty much clue-less about these things, but wouldn't a remix (such as the type Adam has on his remix CD) limit the audience quite a bit? Seems Adam hasn't actually been using the remix word, however, making me think he IS talking about something a little different. About laser WWFM on AI....I thought it was absolute genius and one of the most interesting performances I've ever seen on TV. Took my breath away when I saw it! The only thing that bugged me was the lingering smoke that seemed to obscure him from the audience a bit. A big fan would have done the trick!

I don't think Adam would change what he wants to do not be influenced by s boyfriend so that he'd change his look. He's fought too long & hard to be himself. I do however think he has decided, for right now at least, that this is how he wants to present himself. Hopefully get everyone off the eyeliner line of question. Fondly remember David Bowie & Madonna switching up for each album. I think this is exactly what's going on here. He'll switch it up and change and try out for new things every once in a while. Remember, he's easily bored.... and being in heavy make-up in stage for 6 months is bound to get old at some point. Personally, I like it both ways and loooooove the olive coat in the recent pics. "Glam is a state of mind."

good interview of Cook. He says of the same thing as Adam about how hectic everything is. Also he's talking about making an honest album ...

One more thing, then my classes start again, and I will have to switch gears, LOL. I was talking this morning with my sister about my son's music, and about how my son told me the other night, after the Britney Spears dub discussion, that he doesn't like dub, and that his dance music " is laid back disco 'pool' music.". Did you know that is a genre, LOL? Anyway, I was talking to my sister about how dub is popular now, how my son can do pop, can do dub, and how that might be more financially lucrative, but how he keeps migrating to new things the minute something he has been doing in the past becomes remotely popular, hah. She reminded me that his creativity and unique voice is what makes him who he is artistically, and that people can feel when music doesn't really come from a true place from an artist's true creative heart. I reminded her that is true with Adam as well. (She mentioned last night that she is glad he is "toning himself down" for now. : ) My wish for Adam is for him to make whatever music feels true to him, and to present it in his own authentic style. I think he did present his music that way during the GNT, and that is why he connected so powerfully with audiences. If he changes it up now, it is likely because he has been doing the same thing every night for six months, and he is bored of it for now and wants to do something different. He loves to dress up and play all kinds of parts. His new more traditional "costuming" is probably just another part to play, another side of himself, which he will likely play out for as long as it feels fun and not restrictive. I am sure future Adam holds many different roles, and all I ask is that he has fun playing out each one, because when he is having fun, that positivity and joy leap out, and that is part of what really sets him apart from others. My wish for both Adam and my son is that the true authentic music they create overlaps with what the public will like as much as possible so that they can enjoy whatever financial perks they can. I do know that the best way to be reasonably grounded in the entertainment industry is to know who you are and learn to be comfortable with whatever that brings you rather than trying to change yourself to fit what others think they like, because you will never be able to please everybody, and caring about doing that is often very self destructive. Those are my thoughts, and that is how I hope to best support my own son as he makes sometimes risky musical choices, and that is how I plan to support Adam with whatever musical, performance and fashion styles he chooses to put out in the future. Because I am a mad fan of the artist, of the talent and of the VOICE, BUT I am also a mad fan of the man himself. so, dance Aftermath? Bring it on, GNAFL!
