Did I miss someone saying Adam's look is more manly? I don't recall anyone here saying that. I have seen Glam man, gorgeous, hot, and all the other words we've usually used to describe him.
Cookie, I don't have a problem with anyone saying Sauli is more masculine than Adam's other known boyfriends. Adam himself has described his type as a "pretty androgynous elf." Sauli doesn't fit that type is all, I think was meant.
One of my daughters is more girly-girly (more feminine?) than the other. They know it. It doesn't make one better, just different.

I don't think Adam would change what he wants to do not be influenced by s boyfriend so that he'd change his look. He's fought too long & hard to be himself. I do however think he has decided, for right now at least, that this is how he wants to present himself. Hopefully get everyone off the eyeliner line of question. Fondly remember David Bowie & Madonna switching up for each album. I think this is exactly what's going on here. He'll switch it up and change and try out for new things every once in a while. Remember, he's easily bored.... and being in heavy make-up in stage for 6 months is bound to get old at some point. Personally, I like it both ways and loooooove the olive coat in the recent pics. "Glam is a state of mind." I guess we will have to say "good-bye" to...  For now that's OK. |

I don't usually read Associated Content stuff, but if you are watching Idol this year, this is good. Sums up my feelings pretty well. |

I was chatting with someone at ALF in connection w something else and she raised a concern that she felt some fans were making well-intentioned comments re Adam appearing 'more manly' and 'mainstream' lately w less make up, less 'WeHo' - and how this was a sign of him becoming more mature, comfortable, authentic, whatever. Now I feel ATOP wholeheartedly loves Adam's changing looks and ascribes no agenda other than Adam's characteristic 'wear what I'm feelin today.'. AND I think there's no shortage of love love love for Zodiac/OTT Adam round these parts! But for any outliers I gently submit that Adam has made it clear (with lots of photographic evidence) that he embraces 'the queens of WeHo' as family. Suggesting that a more 'straight acting' Adam is somehow better steps on some sensitivities - j/s. (I hope I don't need a sofa to hide behind as I'm currently w/out furniture. Actually any suggestions re where to find attractive sofas gratefully accepted - no country or floral themes but also not all low and super modern:)). No need for a sofa, Mika. I have been thinking about this lately, too but couldn't figure out how to say it diplomatically. I can always count on my fellow posters here to say everything I want to and do it in a much more eloquent way than I ever could. |

Yes well I had this moment when I decided out with the old and in w new - except I didn't really have any new lined up. So now aside from colorful carpets my apt is kind of like Adam's in the WWFM video - but sadder as there is no pretty emo Adam... |

And I don't think of Adam's current look as more "manly." I would describe it as more understated, tho still glam/handsome and still hot as hell and lets his gorgeous good looks show through more than when it is all glitter and makeup. Maybe it seems so different to us because we saw him in concert garb and heavy makeup for six months. I think Sauli IS pretty and in a way "elfish", but not in a girly-look way like Tommy portrays himself. Sauli looks more "real" to me - and gorgeous in his own right. I think Adam and Sauli are incredible-looking together. |
