Okay, for those still on the thread. I have a very serious dilemma and I need some advice. I will be traveling to visit my parents (in their mid 80's) on Thursday. Will be there by the time Idol airs, but...... dare I request/demand that we stop our reunion so that I can watch Adam on Idol???? They know that I have become a tad enamored by Adam -- that I chat online with y'all occasionally, that I went to his concert, that I think he is a great singer. They have NO IDEA how hopelessly in love and addicted I am. I THINK I can hold it together and not act like I did when I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I THINK. But, as much as my parents love good music, are they ready for Adam????? Acoustic Aftermath sounds like something they would appreciate. But, Adam in the Blonds or Skingraft? OOooo, risky! And if he glams it up at all, they will be flummoxed. If I could be confident we would get a performance akin to WWFM on Ellen recently, I would go for it. They might actually understand a bit of my "appreciation." I can record it and watch when I return several days later, but, but, but, but..... AAAARGH. I can be a big girl and delay my gratification. Or, I can be fearless and Adam inspired and say, "Hey, I really want to watch this performance. So, deal with it." After all, I should be too old to worry about what the parents think, right? What would you do??? My mom is in her eighties. She knows that I went to see an Adam Lambert concert in San Diego. She watched him on the view and we talked about it. I have found that after kids, grandkids, and great grandkids that my mom has become more open minded and accepting about a lot of things. Just tell them that that you want to watch American Idol. They will probalby just enjoy watching it with you.Wow, everyone's suggestions are so much more mature than my immediate reaction: • Buy an iPhone • Feign intestinal distress • Hide in the bathroom stalking stream until it's over I say you should "feel them out" and pray they understand. But have your back-up, back-up DVR going at home.

Q3 is probably busy rewriting Page 1 of tomorrows News Thread She's busy stopping the presses and rewriting the news for tomorrow!! And yes, very excited to have this reason to watch Idol next Thursday!!!!! You had to show up to stick your tongue out and shout, "I told you so." didn't you? I also think the night would be topped off beautifully if the camera scans the audience and Sauli is sitting in the front row beaming with pride. If it was me, I sure would be.

Adam may want to distance himself from Idol, but Idol cannot distance themselves from Adam.... ahh.... memories of the Extraterrestrial Entrance - The Cone...I guess Adam was first to think of SciFi ahead of LG's new MV..

I am going to bed as I am apparently so tired I lost an entire person. I could have sworn Jamie posted and I was going to respond, but clearly I am now hallucinating. good night all~ ETA: Relieved to see I didn't lose Jamie after all... Never And that seizure plan sounds full proof. Let us know how that turns out.

jaycee161 I'm sure the sale of Adam Lambert's Acoustic Live CD will increase after his Acoustic Aftermath live performance in American Idol on Mar 10.
skjs18 I think I might make another donation to Chairty: Water in honor of Acoustic Aftermath next week. :-) Adam's 29th Birthday - mycharitywater.org

but...... dare I request/demand that we stop our reunion so that I can watch Adam on Idol???? Cassie, of course you can ask - nay, just say that you have something that you personally would very much like to see, that you have been following a young man's career who has a phenomenal VOICE with cray cray interest and that you would love to check it out from a vocal perspective. Adam is only going to be on for what 5 minutes? *sobs, but I'll cope*. Just be somewhat nonchalant (while squeeing inside), advise them in advance, watch with or without them, afterwards turn TV off or, change the channel and turn your attention back to your parents... they will be happy and so will you. If in this process your parents actually love Adam, it will be a bigger win than ever. You are an adult with a life of your own and have every right to request some time out for your personal 'needs' - regardless of your parents wishes and thoughts. You are caring and looking after them and it really is simply OK to allow yourself some time out to follow your interests. They will understand.... trust me - K?

@adamlambert: Hey guess what?! I will be performing "Aftermath" on American Idol on Thursday, March 10!Happy, happy, joy, joy ;D ;D :D *delurking to say* yay yay yay yay, and it's gonna be accoustic! yay, good even tho I was looking forward to the revamped dance mix, even though I was a teensy bit apprehensive about it, since I think Adam needs to sit with songs a bit to really inhabit them, but yay!!

Doesn't really count as a question when you already know this crowd!! I have a really important after work bonding (ack) thing with the bosses and I'm already planning on faking a seizure. Cayman Tragically I beat you to it - those cards are maxed already. (The IRS is debating the Glamnation deductible argument - I keep pointing out those charges are (mental) health costs.) I am going to bed as I am apparently so tired I lost an entire person. I could have sworn Jamie posted and I was going to respond, but clearly I am now hallucinating. good night all~ ETA: Relieved to see I didn't lose Jamie after all... Until tomorrow! P.S. I would NEVER wish you ill, however, I believe you are contagious and MUST be in quarantine next Thursday! Heavenly dreams.
