Eff lowering expectations! In addition to the level of greatness of his album, it is we the fans who are the ones that make him as big as Adele or Katy Perry. If his fans all around the world love the freak out of him and simply can't stop themselves from sharing the awesomeness, anything can happen. Keeping in mind that mainstream popularity "bigness" does not equal coolness. Mainstream popularty is vastly, and quite often terrifyingly over-rated. Adam has the cult cool card. Nothing can wash that out of his hair. (Keep the kick ass freak Adam!!) IMHO that cool card is a bigger win than any money can bring. IMHO that is a longevity card and brings the loyalty. Project pure win into the universe, don't shut it down. When we protect ourselves out of fear of failure (ours or theirs), or we predict small, we shut down the possibility of the dream. Adam breaks the barriers. We take part : ) and if by some strange chance he doesn't become the king of pop for everyone. Who the eff cares  We get to know he is the king and they are simply clueless dolts. That is the way I look at it anyway. There are lots of dolts in this world. I would love for them to evolve and take part in the great future but can't change everyone. They got the short stick. Sound corny. It's not. It works. Kisses. |

It's like being at a big family dinner where some of the people are having a serious conversation while the others are throwing peas at each other. That is great and one of the really fun things about the daily news thread--we aren't all on one topic. |

Q3, a question for our resident RCA and marketing expert!! Why would they move up the date for the official adds date, to Top 40, by a week? Is this a good thing? Bad thing? Or irrelevant?

I want to remember, to understand how a new fan must feel, or how to inspire new fans, but I can't. I just do. Love him, I mean. It's not that I don't know, but I feel like it's too deep and too complicated at this stage that no words can do it justice. I think it was a very diverse myriad of words/songs/shows/photos/whatever-Adam-Lambert that made me a wrapped-up, ready-to-go with a ribbon on it, die-hard fan |
