Lakota, what a fabulous testimony. I wish Adam could see your story. He would be thrilled, I'm sure, to have been part of your lifting yourself from where you were. As a musician and teacher myself, it is the best thing to know that someone is moved by what we do. (Well, that is not limited to music--anyone is thrilled to have influenced someone to be better.)

I made a comment a few minutes ago via FB. When I went back to give the song another listen, it was gone! It appeared at the time, but there was a box that said post to FB, and I unchecked. By the way, I didn't uncheck the "post on Facebook" box because I was embarrassed. I unchecked it because I stayed home from work sick today and some co-workers follow me on FB. If you have to keep that box checked, it's possible others have commented, unchecked the box, and the post disappeared. Click on the little box for displaying in "reverse chronological" and I'll bet your post will be there. Went back and tried with box checked, and it still doesn't appear. I thought I could always quickly go to FB and hide my comment before co-workers saw it. OMG! I was just thinking what if my 5 attempts all suddenly show up at once and they'll think I'm spamming. LOL

Thanks adamrocks and lakato! That story was really amazing. I was touched the other day when Adam spoke about changing his ways because he realized he was someone people looked up to. It must be a strange feeling for him at a young age to be that person.
Iceish, I am envious that you have a female DJ. There are some female DJs here who broadcast at off-hours but none at drive time. The morning shows are all the "2 stupid guys and a female straight man" formula, and then a more workaday male personality for the drive home. I can't think that I've ever heard a female host broadcasting in a primo spot.

I get the feeling Adam no longer feels the need to protect Sauli in pap situations and I like that. It's interesting to watch the evolution of their relationship, as much as we see from waaayyyy outside, and to watch the walls of caution drop a little as they speak of one another by name. Nice. I wonder if Adam's perspective changed when he went to Finland and saw Sauli in his home country, where he is a celebrity and has been handling the paps for quite a while. I don't no, but as stated already earlier, something changed in a big way before and after Finland. I am still struggling to figure it out. I don't read Adam as well as read Sauli, being a Finn, and see very different behaviour also in Tutka, and how he writes. Adam is difficult to read, him being a professional actor, and all the time being aware of his behavior in public eye, but I guess they both did change. You could have thought that what happened, would take things to worse, but actually i seems to had quite opposite impact. There was a lot happening of course, they faced incident in very equal manner (if I may use such an expression on this topic :D). They also needed to manage that together in publicity, and also as individuals. Then met lots of friends of Sauli, and finally the family. Adam being lost in communication without his close ones. I wonder...

Wow Juniemoon....loved your piece today! It's like you crawled into my head and wrote my thoughts...much more eloquently than I could have...which is why I am mostly a lurker. Adam has changed my life in many ways...or maybe i should say Adam has given me back my life. When I discovered Adam on idol, I was in a very low place, depressed and in a unhappy marriage. I had lost my joy for life and was going through the motions. Then something about Adam and his freedom and individuality just hit me. I was hooked, I had a new passion. When I heard he was doing a concert in Feb of 2010...I knew I had to go. I didn't care that I didn't have anyone to go with, or that my overprotective, slightly controlling husband would say absolutely not, I was going. I told my husband the night before i left, got on the plane and felt free...fiannly! The experience at Fantasy Springs was amazing...not only was the concert awesome...the people I met were so inspiring...so many amazing women, talented, smart, and normal (relatively )...and they all shared my passion for Adam. That weekend changed me in so many ways. I got back from Indio and decided to take charge of my life once and for all. I told my husband to shape up or get out (he's shaped up quite nicely!!), I embarked on a fitness program...and in the process lost 70 pounds and completed a half marathon and triathlon (spent many many hours running to Adam songs!!) I rediscovered myself! As I was waiting for the start of the triathlon, they were playing music in the transition area...mostly 80's rock...Journey, ACDC...and then right before my wave was supposed to start, i heard the familiar beginning of a song...they played WWFM...I started to cry...it was perfect. Adam's outlook really inspired me to LIVE!! To enjoy life. I've put myself out there. I rediscovered my love of music...especially live music. In the past two years I've gone to more concerts than in the past 30. Some good, some not so much...GNT of course is up at the top of that list. I've decided it's OK to be a little weird...and try things I've never done before. I am so excited for this next go round of music. I love all the aspects of "stanning" Adam, but mostly I love how his music makes me feel! JunieMoon and Lakota!!!So completely love what each of you wrote! JunieMoon,Yes!!!!!! I absolutely love your message today! Thank you! I think Adam's four greatest messages to his fans are Love, Peace, Equality, and Freedom to express oneself fully. As you say so beautifully in your post, he is such a profound example of someone who set himself free from both the inner and outer ties that bind and hold you back. These ties never go away but it is each of our job in life to find a way break through them. He has said on a few occasions if he could send a message to the fans it is not to be like him but rather for them to set themselves free to be fully themselves. "Be free!" Lakota,Ahhh you brought tears to my eyes. Such an incredible story! You are such a beautiful example of someone who has set themselves free. A wonderful role model for others. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!

I was wondering the same thing, or if after their altercation they talked and Adam realized he didn't have to be as (perhaps) possessive and protective as he seemed to be. Sauli has changed so much in the last year with the blogs, the openess, and his sense of fun and the ridiculous have blossomed. It's similar to your children growing up and you wanting to protect them and all of a sudden you realize or they tell you that they are perfectly capable of handling themselves and no longer need you hovering. Whatever went on, I think it is enhancing their relationship, if the smiles and glow are any indication.

Another subject altogether.
Since we've had a few bogus demos of Adam songs on YouTube lately, I been thinking about how confusing it has been for so many people to know if Adam was singing or not. That is, it's been confusing for many people to identify his voice. In some ways his voice is very unique--range, in particular. In other ways, his voice is--I don't know how to say this properly--kinda plain, but that's not really what I mean. Plain in that he doesn't have an easily recognizable timber (Adele, Bruce, etc.). It's such a pure vocal sound without quirkiness that distinguished some other singers.
Here's what I'm thinking. Remember how on AI he was such a chameleon (visually, vocal style)? When I heard these bogus demos, I did not think it was Adam, but, unlike Cassie who knew it after two notes 8-), I had to listen for a bit. The reason is because I think he could make his voice sound like that. He could have, for one song, decided to slur his articulation. He could change his vibrato (doesn't use that much of it on BTIKM). But I didn't think he would make all those changes for one song. I remember hearing FYE (song) the first time and thinking it didn't sound like Adam I knew from AI. I remember some other people commenting on that too.
