All one has to do to realize that Adam can "dummy down" his voice is to listen to Take One. >:( Interesting convo about Sauli and Adam and I realize it is just speculation. We are just "projecting" our experiences and what we think onto them. However, the one presumption that kind of hits me the wrong way is to assume that the Helsinki fight was Adam's fault and that Sauli had to do damage control with his family! Yeah, I think Adam, as always, took responsibility for his part, but as all of us over the age of 15 know, this kind of thing is seldom one-sided. But if Adam chose to be the public face of the situation, so be it. And being that it wasn't an "abuse" issue, I'm sure Sauli's parents were willing to listen, evaluate, and accept Ådam and Sauli's resolution of the situation . |

I don't do twitter so I thought I would ask you guys here if anyone heard any chatter regarding Adam possibly on Ryan Seacrest's morning show on KIISFM next week.
I don't listen to the radio during my morning commute, ever since i started to ride my motorcycle to work. However, today I was running late and in my car. Morning commute shows rarely play any music so I really don't pay much attention and flip between channels. Near the end of his show, at around 9:50, Ryan was signing off and babbling about next weeks guests. The list of names started with Jessica Alba then I tuned out. But the end he said Adam Lambert. Has this been discussed? Anyone heard about it? ???

Who is this chick... she's got some good buzz going. I've tripped over her name 3+ times now. Taylor Swift is a multi-platinum selling country songstress. She won four Grammys for her second album, including Album of the Year, in 2008. According to Wikipedia she has now sold over 20 million albums, and she was Billboard's 2011 Woman of the Year. I think koshka is referring to Lana Del Rey. At least that who is bolded in her post. Maybe I'm missing something but I've seen a lot of hype around her and don't get it. I almost fell into a coma listening to that Video Games song they are hyping on itunes. I think they are hoping for another Adele with her but, IMO, no. She is very pretty though. lol :-) |

Thank you for saying exactly what I thought all along. Well, we can speculate of reasoning yes, but I don't think change in behaviour is speculation. In Sauli at least. As said in my post I cannot read Adam. But sometimes I think they behave like real partnes in crime, sharing a common secret. :D. And I think that Sauli needed to manage what happened towards his family even if he had been the "guity" person ( I don't think there was one). If you have had at least in some scale as wild youth as I had, something like this could easily had happened to any of us. Just think how it had felt in that place, and then add the global publicity on the top. How bad "moral hangover"? And then next you need to meet the parents. Must have far worse for Adam than for Sauli who was in his own territory. So IMO naturally it was Sauli who needed to navigate them out. But coming back to speculation, it's fun to think of options, from new deep commitment to publicity action, and we know nothing ;D. |

I agree that Adam shouldn't be cast as more to blame for the incident. BUT as a parent, and as a daughter, I think that no matter what, when Adam went to meet Sauli's parents it was Adam who they were giving the speculative eye to. Even without this incident, the question in their mind was, is this guy good for our little boy? When your kid gets into a bad place, you can't help but wonder if it was the influence of who they are with. Fact of parenting IMO.

I haven't seen anything on Twitter, but I'll go put out a tweet to ask. It makes sense and is certainly due. One friend I do have who listens to Ryan's whole show from Pennsylvania every day went into surgery this morning at 10, so she wouldn't have heard it.  |

Thanks bb!!! Also thanks for the additional info. I had never heard of Roland GS before, but that explanation was cool. (Hmm.....Sound Canvas....) Also thought it was cool that MIDI can now drive the solenoids on modern electronic pianos. Learned new stuff today!  ETA: [grins] BTW - do you also have any advice on potential cheap software that can be used to manipulate recordings? Nothing fancy wanted. Just a tempo change. [grins wider] Ideally without changing pitch, although with most digital manipulation, I think pitch doesn't change with tempo the way it did with analog signals. I hesitate to talk about techno stuff I don't understand, but here goes: With an VLC player, you have controls. I have used the controls to increase the volume and slow down the video to make screencaps. I'm wondering if you downloaded the CD and converted it to VLC or avi, whether you can figure out a way to use the tools to do what you want.  I hope that made some kind of sense to you. :  :-/ : |
