Googled the song Ordinary Day, by Duran Duran, as mentioned above…that Adam sang solo on Starstruck.
Think it is actually Ordinary World.excited he got that opportunity. Could barelyunderstand the words as Sung by Duran Duran. Had to listen so carefully. Think this will be another revelation re Adam making a song his own…and can understand the words.

Can't believe the old "Lambert/Levine" confusion has appeared again! The two guys cannot be more different. How can anyone mix them up? It guess the names are close enough to mix up. Just thinking, if Adam was ever on SNL, he could do a really hilarious skit on being an opera singer. I've never seen SNL do that subject before. The comic possibilities are endless. And Adam could show off his voice AND his comedy skills all at the same time! I think the comparison/confusion popped up again because Levine, it appears, was a douchebag and supposedly had an affair while his wife is pregnant. At least that's what I'm putting together from various tweets/posts. I've never liked the guy and don't follow what he's up to, but his name was trending at one point yesterday. |

I will always love "Feel Something" for the sheer beauty and emotion. But still confused that after not releasing any music for a long time, when it was released the press was off the charts and so excited. Then it was put out there that it was not his single and just a teaser and the press and momentum stopped. When "New Eyes" was finally released, it was a talking point for Adam but a non-celebrity boyfriend (with no great career accomplishments and posting selfies) of an accomplished star and Queen frontman was not going to keep the media or many fans interested in him for long. Other than hoping that Adam was happy and in a serious relationship (not with a boy toy) with someone he loved and could be proud of, not much there. After a bit, Adam even dropped his relationship status as a selling point. Wonder what would have happened if "Feel Something" had received those high profile performance slots and official video (Idol, Ellen and a few others) and push instead of NE. Will never know but at the time of FS release, Adam was getting a ton of press for the Oscars and TSMGO doc. So having the song pushed at that time could not have hurt him. Never liked Levine, lol. |

Since I don't understand the music business and/or promotions of songs, I have nothing to contribute...except that I've always been confused about Adam's strategies every time new music came out.
Seems like it's been one missed opportunity after another.
Or at least it seems like that to this 13-year observer.

I bought this green velvet jacket and am thinking about how to turn it into a costume for one of the Las Vegas shows. Any ideas? ETA: I am not trying to change the jacket. I am trying to figure out how to use it as part of a costume. What can I be wearing this jacket- a witch, a pirate, etc? I haven't posted in a million years but I had to reply to this. There were misses for sure but this, IMHO was the most major miss. Feel Something would have rocketed to the top of the charts.
