I too think Adam has gone thru stages of a lot of makeup and times more toned down. My guess is his talent has advanced his career and not how much or how little makeup (my preference, ha) he wears. The career results have been pretty much the same and steady for years. Some fans like some looks better than others but they are all the "real" Adam if he does them. Who is to say one look they prefer is him and the others are not when he does as he pleases? With QAL, he has always been more rock star with some makeup and only seemed to go way OTT with the eye makeup and dress when he put on the pandemic weight. But he has slimmed down some. So we shall see after all the Halloween concerts and events are over where he lands. But with his enormous talent, I doubt that heavy eye makeup will be the factor that moves his career to the next level. Most of the accolades, respect and praise he gets are for his voice and talent and not the costumes. But in the past, he was often picked as one of the best dressed men. Would love to see that happen again. Adam knows when to turn it up or tone it down depending on the event and audience. I think we can all love and enjoy Adam even when we prefer some looks more than others.
