Does anyone know what the sales numbers are for FYE. Have they increased and how close to 1M in the US? We haven't gotten sales numbers since the end of November when RCAEd reported 829,000 for the US total. He said at that point it was selling less than 500 a week. If there have been any sales boosts they haven't been big enough to show up on the catalog charts. The bottom of the catalog albums charts has been in the 1500-2000 range. I doubt we will get numbers unless there is a spike due to his promo for BTIKM. When Trespassing drops hopefully it will stimulate sales for FYE as well and he might finally hit platinum. I thought RCAEd last reported 840,000 for US sales total.

I remember Crystal Snow (the host at a time in Jenny Woo restaurant) tweeting at a time of their 1st anniversary something about getting them together, so maybe there was a match-maker involved. I felt like he was just being proud that they met at his club. Sadly the Jenny Woo club doesn't exist anymore. But this love story is something really amazing. I mean, imagine Adam tapping you on the back? I'm happy that Sauli decided to go out that night and that Adam went to that club, good things happen to good people. Hmm, do I remember right, that Adam is actually following Christal Snow, so maybe there is more to it? 8-)

Really? What did he say about Adam? Other than Clay Aiken, I have not heard any other idol diss Adam. Nothing major, I always kind of got the vibe that Michael was sort of jealous of Adam, but everyone is entitled to there opinion. Here is one instance. billboard.blogs.com/jadedinsider/2009/04/idol-worship-today-in-ai-history-michael-johns-edition.htmlSpeaking of pink scarves, what are your thoughts on this year's favorite, Adam Lambert? MJ: I think he’s great for the stage, and it might work for TV, but I’m not sure what he’s gonna do in the real world. I don’t get it yet. If he was on our season, I think Simon would have ripped him a new a-hole, but they’re praising him, so go figure? Thanks. Wow, what a jerk. I remember I used to like him too when I heard him sing Bohemian Rhapsody but this was before I had heard the jaw-dropping voice of Adam. Never bothered to follow him since. I wonder if MJ had gotten any backlash from the Glamberts.

gelly: Thanks for posting the link to that article again. It was wonderful all over again to read it.
Several days ago we were talking about whether Adam was posed to launch into true super stardom with the divas. We wanted him to be as big as _____ (fill in the blank). Then, there was talk about whether that was even Adam's goal. Or if his goal was to make music, make art and be successful doing that so he had more opportunities and had financial security. That perhaps his goal had never been to be "famous" but, rather, to be a successful artist.
This interview addresses that, and gives us Adam's clear answer to our wonderings.
Adam: "I wanted to make music and do my own show, and do my own expression my own art, where I could be at the helm of it, making decisions. I’ve been in professional theater where you’re directed, and I wanted to direct myself. I wanted to write my own music. I’d started to write stuff on my own, and I had done stuff with a couple of producers. The other thing I realized was, if I could just get with some of these major writers and producers that make things sound amazing, we could collaborate and make amazing songs. So I started thinking, how the fuck am I supposed to get myself in front of some of these people, because it’s a hard business to break into. And the big pop mainstream music industry is very heterosexual. A lot of the pop girls that you see coming up, they use their feminine wiles to persuade producers to work with them. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, that’s part of their charm. But a lot of the music industry is driven like that. If it’s male artist, they make the feel the producer feel cool, because they’re cool. It’s kind of high school.
The fame wasn’t part of the desire. Another motivating factor was that I had nothing saved in the bank. I wasn’t struggling, I had a theater job, I was able to pay the rent and live pretty comfortably, go out to eat, go out to a bar, see a movie, go buy an outfit. But I had no savings. I was in a studio apartment and getting older, talking to my parents about taxes and life. So I started thinking about how do I make some money — that was another motivating factor.
The fame part is the weirdest thing — the fame part is like a job unto itself."

I didn't want to come out to comment on when I saw his name on previous page, but I have to now. Yes I used to like MJ a LOT when he's still competing but after this comment he's dead to me... LOL.. sorry for his fans. IMO, he's definitely green with envy watching Simon's praising him all season long. If Adam's competing in S7, Adam would still shine because vocally he's up in stratosphere compare to other contestants. And if Adam's competing in S7, MJ's singing Queen song would be so laughable because Adam was there, who people called the next Freddie. Ohh yeah, I really wanted to know what he think when he saw Adam performing with Queen on EMA and then people are praising about it all over the world. ;D

I've never really heard how Sauli and Adam met one another. Has that been shared publicly? Visit here: and scroll to the print area ...this seems to be a much as most know!!! A chance encounter.... adamlamberttv.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-information-about-adam-lambert-and.htmlshould add: Adam approached Sauli and tapped his shoulder or touched his shoulder and ta da ...love at first sight...at least that is what fandom loves to believe. supposedly they went off and talked astrology, amongst other things!! Thanks for linking me to this article. It pretty much covers all the bases.

Hmm, do I remebr right, that Adam is actually following Christal Snow, so maybe there is more to it? 8-) I don't know if he follows him, but Adam and Crystal Snow did meet each other that night (there are some pics of that night). I'm not buying the matchmaking theory.... ;D (no need to tap shoulders then, I think they'd been properly introduced in that case). LOL. But fun speculation. ;D I agree with you. Adam does follow Crystal Snow. This is the picture from "that" night. But Adam knew Crystal Snow from his first trip to Finland during promo tour. I don't know when he started following him though. It is my understanding that Sauli and Crystal Snow were friends, Sauli hanging out a lot to Jenny Woo's and probably? Adam started following him after Sauli, not shure though.

There is a really good question earlier in the thread from RabbitRabbit about the AO.com radio request thread which recommends calling and sending in Mediabase requests to every station that has played BTIKM. 1. Is this an issue? When or if it becomes an issue this album cycle, RCA will let fans knows via Adam on Twitter. 2. Is this worthwhile? No, for the most part it is a waste of time. You know your request will really matter if it is to a local station you actually listen to. Many radio stations do not even look at out-of-market Mediabase requests. There are some power stations that want requests from everywhere --- Z100, Q102 are two examples. There are some local radio stations that are interested in having web traffic from all over the world. These stations are the ones that tweet out their contests. 3. Are there any examples of out of market requests hurting Adam's airplay? Yes, a few examples: -- Adam had to tell "a few" fans (via Twitter) to stop mass requesting WWFM and again make the same request for IIHY This was because RCA got complaints from stations. -- RCA Ed posted a request on AO.com for fans to stop requesting more than once a day and to stop pretending they were local. (He explained that the stations can see you IP address and phone location. And that usually they can tell someone isn't listening.) -- WSTW Wilmington DE -- fans promoted voting in the WSTW online song contest on fan sites and twitter. Adam won a few days in a row. WSTW checked the votes and found out that the voters were in California and Canada and Europe and..... not in the Delaware Valley. Adam's song was removed from the voting. They also reduced the number of radio spins for 2 weeks. -- Open House Party -- this is a syndicated radio program carried by 25 Mediabase monitored stations. It is programmed by requests received while the show is on the air. Adam fans called to request WWFM and lied saying they were listening to the program. They got caught because the Saturday night host, John Garabedian, puts people who call in on the air and some Adam fans did not know what he had just played. Adam was banned from the show for 3 weeks at a time when WWFM was high on the airplay charts costing the song about 150 spins. There are more examples. >> My view is that RCA and Adam will tell fans on AO.com if they get out of line again. On ATop my view is really simple. We have members everywhere. If you watch your local stations and let AToppers know when there is something that out-of-market fans can do to help Adam, and request from your local stations, then Adam will be covered and no one will force Adam to send out a tweet asking fans to stop abusing stations. >> Finally, whatever else, always remember that radio stations have been dealing with Idol fans for over a decade. They know all the tricks and they cannot easily be tricked. Thanks for answering this. I might volunteer to be a PIA to remind people here to request (locally and at the optimal frequency of course :D ).
