I don't know about Lana Del Ray, is she very famous? I heard about her name from my radio DJ. They are very excited about her and said she is better than Adele. Go and check now. Yeah, Adam should be on SNL  She's getting tons of press...I discovered her last week when voting for Adam somewhere--some Idolator contest... She probably had a story on that page because she's with Interscope. Anyway, lots of positive critical buzz about her, and I like her vids, but would have to agree her SNL performance isn't her best. Check her out on youtube--lots of videos. (And although I like her, she doesn't hold a teeny tiny candle to Adam.) Adam is up against her this weekend in "Sophie's Challenge" (CA radio station). It's a one time per challenge vote radiosophie.radio.com/2012/01/13/sophies-challenge-adam-lambert-vs-lana-del-rey/. They have been playing the winner and challenger and Adam as gotten air play. ETA to change the voting info on Sophie's Challenge ... and to modify my comment on Lana after re-reading Juniemoon's Part 2 (loved it). If nerves took over it's a shame to have it happen on such a widely broadcast performance. |

Voice was everywhere, weak, her hands awkard on her hair and hip, didn't know what to do with them, I was sad , tried to watched it till the end and the voice became weaker and weaker.

Does anyone have any specific comments from DJs or information to back up the "only request locally" rule of thumb?
I ask because there is a thread in the main forum of AO where they are encouraging people to request from every station that has played BTIKM, so people are going down a list of links and contacting ~30 stations each, some by phone as well as mediabase.
I questioned this strategy but they say they've been doing it for two years without complaint. I just wanted to bring over any specific DJs/stations that we know have reacted badly to this so maybe they might think about taking them off of their "roll call" list.

My family and I have been doing drunk-slurring deep-voice impressions for hours and laughing hysterically! We all wondered if it was some type of joke! She reminded me of some joke contestant you would see on the AI audition rounds. Adele????!!!!! This "artist" isn't worthy to be mentioned in the same sentence with Adele!! PLEASE!!!!!!! |
