Hoopla, thanks for paraphrasing interview and indicating that she is aware of the connotation. I'm at work and don't have time to watch long video. I tried to watch some of the 20/20 interview yesterday, but only had time to watch first segment. I've never been great fans of her interviews though, even though I generally like her music and respect her art (not her acting though). There always seems to be a certain air of disdain I get from her, or a complete lack of warmth that I've never cared for. YAY! Someone's actually watched a bit of it! I just tweeted link to robininny because I hoped SOMEONE would watch it while it's still fresh in my mind. AND what I said in my tweet to her was that it's a good interview, much reminds me of A's situations, except HIS style is much more WARM. Same reason I prefer him (or even K Perry) in general to Madge/Gaga, at least in interviews. It looks like the only potential album drop that can mess up #1 spot for Adam is Madonna. THAT is what arouses my interest in her right now. It's good to know what the competition is doing/thinking--although, in the long run I'm not overly invested in numbers or most other pop artists. Okay, I watched the parts you suggested.  I agree Madonna doesn't ooze warmth like Adam does, but I like her. She talks about the exchange with the audience. It very much reminded me of Adam's talk of energy exchange with the audience and the infinity symbol. I'm sure many artists feel the same about leaks, particularly since it's often fans who leak. Madonna can be blunt. She said something along the lines of: If they (being fans) love me as much as they say they do, why don't they wait until I'm ready to put it (the music) out. I had to smile about the mother/daughter parts as well. And, yes, there was definitely a wink/nod about the album title! As an entertainer or even educator for that matter, you have to be knowledgeable to be relevant to your target audience. Adam would be amazing on that show! I would LOVE an interview that long! |

He's been talking about this album for a while now and many DJ's have heard it already. She hasn't even discussed her album before now. And with all the great artists who worked on and collaborated with Adam on his album...anybody going to think they stole from her? I don't think we have to worry about that. Just my opinion of course. Adam's 'condescending tweet about raves'? WTF are they talking about? Call me confused. |
