Maybe they've decided to concentrate their efforts where it's not a struggle for him to get radio play. Europe loves him so IMO they should have first dibs on getting him.
He could do tons of radio spots for U.S. radio and still receive a lukewarm reception from DJs and PDs.
I doubt RCA cares where the money/sales comes from and if he can build up his momentum in Europe maybe the U.S. radio stations will follow suit and jump on board.
I'm not worried about his U.S. promo, especially not just for the single which seems to be having a good launch on Hot AC so far.

Zell and See is a wonderful and well known ski resort in Austria, well known in Europe.

Hello, sweet lady! Hope we get to make some more memories on the next tour. We had such a good time in Houston - esp. when you were able to make it to my side of the venue! Great memories! Count on it! Also, I plan to go to more shows in Texas this time, hoping Adam plays in Austin. You should plan on going to New Orleans with us! |

The Austrian concert actually makes sense. It's not like the Amway event, which was a private event for a private company. It's a showcase, meaning there will be representatives from radio stations, distributors, etc. Also radio stations will get to give away tickets to it. It's great promo. Austria is in the middle of Europe, so I'm sure there will be people coming to this event from all over: Germany, Austria, Nederlands (like the Facebook posted earlier says), maybe even Italy. Austrian mountains in the winter are a beautiful winter wonderland, so who wouldn't want an all expense paid trip to that, PLUS hearing Adam Lambert? It really is a great event, I think. What frustrates me is the lack of doing the exact same thing for American DJs. ETA: unless there is something happening that we don't know about, which is of course a very likely scenario. Yeah I really hope they woo the shit outta US radio. It's sad but he really needs to. I can't believe that him and his management and label don't realize this and/or won't do it. So as of now I REFUSE to get all worried about it. He had some sort of listening part for the Aussie's right? So hopefully they do the same for US peeps. And TK did hint he would talk to Adam in person so it would be nice to see him do a lot of call ins as well as in person interviews. We shall seeeee EDIT: I do agree with Wonderstruck tho. Even with all the promo te pd's could still shit all over him. But at least it's better than nothing and gets casual radio listeners to realize he at least as new shit out. |

crazylady,wal & everyone else Thanks for taking notes for those of us that couldn't listen. I was all set to go, then pickle jar met the kitchen tile in an impressive explosion of glass. DD got a pickle juice shower. 4M... LOL! Hope you got rid of the glass safely?  And yes, thanks to everyone for bringing up the tweets & links. OMG Zell am See is one of the places I always wanted to go!!! Many of my friends have gone, they all told me it's an amazing ski resort! And the pictures I've seen , jealous! gelly - think you need to take vacay and make this concert! Adam will have a great time!!!! |
