Admittedly, if the biggest thing I can find to bitch about in Adam's first major public appearance in his new era is that he looks classically and classily handsome, I suppose there's worse things......  ;D |

AHHHH!!! AHHHHHH SHOULD I DO THIS??!?!?! IT'S AHH!!!! finally a chance to see ADam!! Y.E.S.!!!! I sure as heck will be up at 6AM Wednesday going for it!!! Me, too!!!!!!! I haven't had a meet and greet--this would be too good to be true! ;D |

I just have to say this. Is there something wrong with me. I prefer Adam a little more glam, like he is in his facebook pic. I FIND THAT PIC HOT!! But was wondering if on the flip side, that was on the same level as people who are uncomfortable in their not liking Adam with make up? When first seeing the Leno pics, I was a bit taken back by the outfit. I was thinking that this era will be more along the lines of the Moscow look, the facebook pic, or Queen performance without the coat. You know, toned down, but with still hints of glam, chic and high fashion. This just looks so, I don't know, really plain for him. And maybe I just found it a little offensive when showing a friend, and she was saying that his face book pic was all girly, and that the Leno look was more attractive. I don't know..just talking...hope it's alright for me to say this here :( Not sure if I should go here but I will... I think this look will bring in more hetero men, DJ's and so forth. I will use my DH as the example (he is ALWAYS telling me how he is the "average guy". When he has watched Adam perform before (and I have made him watch Leno, Ellen, go to GNT etc.) he has always commented on the look. I felt like DH was too caught up in the intensity of the look that he couldn't focus on the voice. When the explosion of the visuals and vocals are combined it can be overwhelming. For us fans we can handle it. But for the average Joe is it too much stimulus all at once. Just Adam's vocals are so stimulating to me personally I can't listen to him sing and work at the same time. So, long winded way to say that I personally think that a toned down and handsome Adam look for these high profile public views will bring in a wider audience. I am anxious for DH to see the Leno performance and hope that he can spend more time listening to him sing rather than be distracted by the visuals. Let Adam reel them in with the vocals and then acceptance for the creative visuals will seep in if the goal is to bring in a broader base. I hear you, but is the Face book pic too OTT? I just don't' like the whole presenting Adam as..well I don't want to say this, but he looks a bit..neutered/asexual in this Leno pic. I know that Adam is always changing but as of now I don't like this look. Oh well, I'll just grit my teeth and endure it if it lasts more than 1 or a few performances  :-/ |
