I am glad to see Kevin in the band line up. And the backing vocals sounded great. But, just so you know, it wasn't just Kevin. There was a backing track as well. So what you are hearing in the harmonies is Kevin and Adam. I thought the harmonies were great!!! In the bridge I think it was only Adam & Kevin, but in other parts there were more harmonies that had to be part of the backing track. It all sounded great to me! Cassie - I read a post elsewhere by another singer who thought he sounded flat in a couple of "crucial places" but I thought he was pretty much pitch perfect! What did you hear? Interesting to note that with the key changed to a tone lower, his top note in the final wail is the same note as his highest note in the recorded version! (E flat) (hope that makes sense! :D) Sorry if this has already been addressed. I am just catching up on the thread (stayed up waaaaaay to late last night/this morning reading and listening). In the bridge, there is three part harmony in the second half, and only two singers, so, definitely a backing track. As for pitch...... damned good, but, no, I have to agree, not "pitch perfect." In the chorus, when he sings, "if I wanted to GO, I WOULD have gone BY NOW" he is not what I would call "flat," but he is not hitting the exact center of the pitch where it would sound a little brighter. And, right after the bridge, that first GO I would definitely say was a little under. But, those high Ebs were right in the center of the pitch, and just sparkled. No live performance by any artist is going to be absolutely "pitch perfect", from my experience. That is the "risk" of a live performance, and is part of its thrill. Can they execute it? Can they make it work? Can they make me feel it and accompany them on this journey? IMO, Adam did a magnificent job. Close enough to "perfect" for me to love it.

I think it is way off to think they tattooed that on their hands to remind them of one drunken mistake. They said they are having a dry January, not that they have such a problem that they need to permanently put a warning sign on their hand so they will have one last hope of not bringing the booze to their lips. I actually find this somewhat rude to them that so much negative is being read into this. Take a look at Adam performing--it's right in his line of sight as he holds the mike. Or maybe it's a hand holding thing. Those things make more sense to me but who knows. When two people get matching tattoos I can only assume it is for a sentimental, meaningful reason. We may never know the "inside story" but it is obviously a message of bonding. IMHO . THIS^^^^^^^I'm a bit uncomfortable with the presumptions of a drinking problem on both Adam's and Sauli's parts! This type of speculation is jumping to some conclusions that could be way off! Unless I hear from Adam that he has some type of alcohol addiction problem, I feel uncomfortable with presuming or even speculating that he has any type of problem in this area.

Not taking sides here but feel compelled to remind us all that one can certainly decide to stop drinking alcohol even if one doesn't have "problems in this area." Many, many reasons- general health being a really good one.

To me, the fact that the two O's are joined seems to indicate something related to their connection to each other.

Ending up in a Finnish jail at 4 a.m., for example. You don't have to be addicted to alcohol to realize that sometimes it's not your friend.

But the only people assuming Adam has a drinking problem are the people complaining about Gelly's fun, "speculative" post on the meaning of OOFTA! Me? I think OOFTA has something to do with their exclamation the first time they had sex!! ^^A joke ^^
