Anyone who has ever seen Adam perform live and has been lucky enough to be close enough for him to make eye contact knows he makes it with multiple members of the audience throughout his performance. IMO, standing there singing directly to Sauli, though schmoopy and romantic, would be rather unprofessional and not a compelling performance for the rest of the audience. He is a consummate professional and performer and no way he would sit there and sing to one member of the audience while excluding the others. Sorry to burst any bubbles, but try to image the reality of that. Also, I am so effing blown away by his courage to fight this lawsuit. IMO, he's not only standing up for himself, he is standing up for every struggling performer who gets preyed upon by opportunistic sleazebags. I think Anthro even got it on video! Must've been my threadbare Bob Marley t-shirt that pulled his eyes to me! ;D And I second that YAY for fighting the sleazebags! That's my favorite piece of news today so far! And I totally believe you!! I have been in situations (San Francisco II) where he is locking eyes with the person right next to me or behind, and you usually KNOW that it's close, but damnit!!! No cigar. It wasn't until DAY 2 of the Honolulu shows when he was (as Anthrogeek so demurely puts it) was eye-fucking us through most of Surefire Winners. GAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! There is NO denying when that happens. (Though, if you ask Aloha and NoAngel they will :  : and say we're nuts) but I will go to my grave knowing that incredible feeling. |

Thanks, SusieFierce for the recap. I would have loved to have been in that room and felt the electricity and energy when Adam performed. I bet the none Adam fans (the regular people lol) were loving it too!

One of the tweeters last night said she kept thinking Adam was singing straight to her, then realized Sauli was sitting right behind her. And another said S was sitting up and to the right if you were looking at the audience from A's viewpoint. But I haven't really paid enough attention to that part of the performance to figure it out yet! And maybe Sauli wearing a green shirt (as opposed to black/gray) was to make it easier for A's eyes to find him if he wanted to? Sorry, hate to rain on this little parade, but our friend and member, (but infrequent poster) timegoesby (Holla!!) was sitting directly behind Sauli and she laughed at that contention. She said, "He was looking at everyone like he always does." And you can see CLEARLY in the video he is making eye contact throughout the audience. He looks left, center, right, and back again. I think he may have sang one line directly towards Sauli, perhaps and probably what CoralMermaid was talking about (follow her and love her and I'm sure that's what she perceived in a moment, but not for the entire time). Yeah, Susie, I watched that video so many times and Adam is doing what he always does-- connecting with the audience. As for that lawsuit-- I think the fuckers, smelling blood, were under the impression they had the upper hand and Adam just wanted to settle and make it all go away, and tried to milk Adam for an exorbitant amount of money. Adam is nobody's fool. And he's nobody's doormat. Good for him. The other side may just realize they will end up spending more money and time fighting Adam-- with his blue chip legal firm backing him-- than they can afford, even with their cheap, cut rate tactics and piss poor representation. I can see them caving, tail between their legs, for an amount Adam is willing to pay. Adam, I hope you crush the motherfucking weasels!!!! |

Hey did Adam actually have a chance to talk to Mr. Hawaiian shirt and Sherri.....or a hug to Sherri, or just a shake of hand? Also did Leno thank each of the band members or just an Ashley contact? Inquiring minds.... Wonder if this might be a sign of back to the View after such a stellar performance, or if Ellen has some kind of deal for day time preview. I sure hope he sells a boat load of albums.... enough that he can ditch some of those general admission, stand in line all day tour venues. The short can't see for the tall, keeping your space and the bladder actively calling ain't the most fun way to see a concert. Hey I can stand with the best of them..but it is such a waste of ruddy time. Sorry you wound up at the far side ...but you got to see him live. A game, Olympics, concert ...live wins over TV everytime. |
