Ok, I am interested in the evolution of Sauli. I was obliviously living in a bleak Adamless world for the beginning of their relationship and am curious if things were the same for those of you who have been there from the start. When I first started investigating him, seeing the Disney pics and some of him following Adam out of restaurants etc. I thought he was nice looking but nothing really special. But, with time he has become stunning. And it's not that he is "done up" now cause obviously this is a natural beauty. Is it just because I am falling in love with him now? What was the fan reaction to him when he first entered the picture? Was he a "heart throb" in Finland? Can't all be that he is in love and more confident--look at those eyes and facial structure!

peeking in after being on these threads for hours. I remembered when sauli's tatoo was first shown someone said it was the finish word "oota" that translates to WAIT in english. as far as some folks relating the tattoo word to a possible change in behaviour that may include alcohol consumption, it does not seem like that is too far of a stretch. Adam has said he is reevaluating his life choices, has referred to the incident as immature, acknowledges his upcoming birthday as a time to reflect and volunteered the info that he has had no alcohol since the beginning of the new year. Sauli has said similar things in his blogs, mentioning alcohol specifically. So I can't fault anyone for believing the guys may have had a bit of an issue with it. (obviously) The timing of the tattoos, (does anyone know when they got them?), can't help but make me think the ordeal they experienced in Finland did not play a role. I admire these men so very much. regarding the Leno performance. basically loved it. unfortunately i flashed buble in my brain more often than i would have liked to. Not that adam is Anything like michael. It must have been the suit and the squeeing mature ladies. eta: not a new member, just moody and hypersensitve Ha, loved it. But to me picturing Buble is like fantasizing about Josh Groban when you're rolling around with Tommy Lee (or Jagger, or Bret Michael, or whatever bad boy hottie you choose). I love all the different points of view on ATOP and the variety of mindsets. Where we come from - not geographically - and what we've experienced color everything we do and everything we perceive. It's fascinating. By the way, you do know women reach their sexual peak around 40, so all the screaming teens don't carry nearly as much weight as a few heavy breathing grown ups. That would be us. Disclaimer: If offered, I would probably give consideration to going back to be one of those teens and doing it just a teensy bit differently this time, but ending up where I am now. |

Thanks, Gelly!! Even the sound mix is much better. Adam's voice is much fuller in those beginning vulnerable parts of the song. JMO in other vids I did see, it seemed like Adam's vocal mix was flat..usually has more of a reverb. On purpose? Dunno. And not a criticism. god, he was fabulous! Ashley..gurl can think fast..good catch. Kevin was fantastic!! Perfect back-up and keys..just wow. Isaac on drums, Tommy on lead. Man, this band is exciting. I kept thinking that this band has only been together a short time..Kevin especially, a new song, debut premiere to not only the single but a lead-in to Trespassing. Tad bit of pressure there? I was so impressed with Adam and the band. Unbelievably cohesive. My respect for Adam keeps skyrocketing. I knew BTIKM was a challenging song, but after hearing him tackle it live and succeeding magnificently..I hear how difficult this song really is. Thanks to all of you gems that have posted alternate links as NBC has been pulling vids like crazy..as I have been pulling my hair out trying to find one to watch. Missed last night. Yay for Adam!!!! ERA2!! Also, the 'oofta'..whatever the special meaning, I leave that to Adam and Sauli. In general terms, Oofta really is a catch-all phrase that can be interpreted in many, many ways. From exasperation to exhileration. Used that phrase my whole life. Cool to see matching tats, tho. |

Susie, thanks for your recap! I loved your description of the singing part--he just killed it to death, didn't he lol?!
Do you know what time Ellen starts taping today, since you have friends who are going?
And, vivlite, I soooo agree with your thoughts about the band:

I admit to being just a bit nervous because of two new members, but they really did a fantastic job!
