Re Sauli- I think he is adorable and I'm so happy the two of them are together - but I certainly don't need to see pics, gifs and discussion of Sauli on every page. I do NEED to see pics, gifs and discussion of Adam on every page. And therein lies the difference for me. 8-) I'm sorry, but I agree. Aren't we owed like 45 145 Adam pictures right now? We are getting the most news we've had about Adam in the past year. And it's FANTASTIC!!! Adam Storm has started in incredible force and yet somehow the subject gets getting changed back to Sauli. Look I love the guy, and think he's adorable and LOVE that he and Adam are so happy, but he is Adam's significant other and has nothing to do with his career and why we are here. Sauli has kept us informed and happy and laughing through some long, tough waiting and I adore him for it. I love his blogs and am incredibly grateful for all the hard work Mia and Zinnia put into Sauli Central, but THIS IS THE DEBUT SINGLE PERFORMANCE REVIEWS WE ARE GETTING HERE. And the most detail we've heard about the album we've been waiting a YEAR for. I don't know, I guess I'm mystified ... it happened last night on Twitter. We went from flailing our brains out over that magnificent performance to trending OOFTA in five minutes. Suddenly Adam's STELLAR achievement was overshadowed by random flail and speculation about something private between Adam and Sauli. Sorry, being totally candid here, but I don't get it. ^^^^^^^^ I agree.

Hoppers has addressed this, but I just want to add that this would be a boring place indeed if we all liked the same things and agreed on everything. Pretty much anything related to Adam is fair game for discussion as long as the few rules are respected. Pages and pages of discussion about what people like to discuss and what they don't like to discuss doesn't count for Adam news, btw. If there is something you'd like to discuss, bring it up! The power is in your keyboard. No need to wait for someone to post something that is of interest to you-- go ahead and post it yourself Erm ... how many international news stories do we need to post about Adam's incredible debut on Leno, the marketing aspects of American Idol (related to Adam), "Trespassing" scoop, Adam taking a stand in his law suit, the Ellen show, before it qualifies as "bringing it up"? I don't think anyone was waiting. ???

Music people, what is a SOFT LAUNCH? I think he's saying the BTIKM is more mainstream than what's waiting inside the album. If they had gone with a different single it might be too different to get acceptance.

Well, not "loose cannon" in the way the media usually means it. This author, I believe, is coming from a business, branding and marketing angle. The model he used of star, cash cow, loose cannon and dog was not developed for Idol or for Adam. He is just applying it to Idol and using Adam as an example of the concept of loose cannon..... a commodity which has great potential to have great impact and earn lots, but also a commodity that is so unique and out of the box that it is unpredictable, and will need special handling to make the best success. As a business model, it makes sense to me. I kind of agree, and I would add that Adam is less of a "loose cannon" than an unknown entity. No one like him has been let loose on the American public before and the biggest unknown factor has been and to an extent continues to be audience response. Fans aside, how will people respond to him? How will PDs, DJs, other media respond? Will they dismiss him outright for reasons that have zero to do with his talent? What image will best further Adam's and his labels goals? How to best market him? Etc, etc. I did think the marketing term they used for the vertical axis was a little weird because it really didn't explain what was low and what was high. I was looking for something more like brand awareness but then Daughtry would have been high so I think it was more like potential.

Does anybody know where Sauli was sitting in relation to where Adam was standing and singing? I noticed him looking slightly left at times with emotion on his face. Am I projecting my desire that he was singing to Sauli. Sauli was up high and kind pf directly in front of Adam, not to the left at all. Adam scanned, made eye contact, and sang to the e ntire audience. Some fan who tweeted that he was singing directly to Sauli must have been at a different show! I'm not sure why you don't just tell the truth here, mys*&@^#r. You know I was directly behind Sauli, and Adam was singing to me. it was pretty obvious.

Well, I thought you might come in and actually post about your experience of being directly behind Sauli and saying that Adam was NOT singing to him!!! ;D
