Boy…someone at Music-News.com really doesn’t like Adam to have chosen this pic to use. SophieB , that was exactly my thought. They picked one of the least flattering pictures. Well… the only problem with this pic is that it is current… 😝 Are remarks like this REALLY NECESSARY?? Are photos of YOU always flattering?!?! IMO, putting Adam's looks down is quite the reflection of your shallow mentalities... and I'm soooo tired of it. |

dare2bdifferent, sorry that the latest post(s) made you upset. I still think that they could have picked a more flattering recent picture. He looks much better than this. I can only speak for myself, but I can not wait to pre-order his HIGH DRAMA album, as in the end it comes down to his voice and his singing talent for me. I don’t consider that “shallow”.

dare2bdifferent . It’s a particularly horrible picture of Adam. I can’t imagine anyone disputing that. (I love differing opinions though) I therefore think a real fan would have picked a better picture and would have wanted him promoted in a more flattering light - because, as Adam is the first to say, the voice isn’t everything in commercial appeal. Atop is not a mindless cult where we have to ohh and ahh and pretend every aspect of Adam and his career is perfect. To use your phrase - I’m sooo tired of that kind of thing; it destroys discussion and reduces threads to exercises in trying not to upset others who want this site to be less ‘real’. The posters you accuse of having shallow mentalities have been here since 2011. They are people who have loved and supported and cried and laughed with this man without losing a sense of perspective.And they are still here when so many others have jumped ship. May I suggest you relax a bit.

I come to this site because I, too, have been a fan of Adam since Idol. I'd like to be able to read through the posts without seeing snarky comments about what he's wearing or the way he looks. I've never understood why people feel the need to express negative thoughts about another...especially on a FAN site. There are plenty of things to discuss about his career that don't have to devolve into Fashion Police drivel. May I suggest expanding YOUR perspective. I will always be an Adam fan no matter what. His voice and genuine personality keep me coming back. He seems to be an open, kind person and doesn't deserve to be raked over the coals by ANY of us. That's not the type of discussion I look forward to seeing on this forum, anyway. |

I'll let you two have your spat - but I did consider flagging dare's first response post (not in the above convo but earlier) because I think that violated rules about attacking other posters and the comments about not liking that particular photo were mild at their worst. On the picture - I quite liked it. Don't know what the problem is. yes the eye makeup is overdone by my standards but everything else is pretty cool to me and for me better than many of his other recents. As far as commenting on his looks - lol I'm happy to do it although I usually rue his fashion choices, for example his love of suits that just don't fit right is always a perplexing point. I mean Believe was beautiful but that suit was not. Also he delved into some bad makeup choices in his early years although a lot of that was the fault of pro makeup people like at his Oprah interview. |

Jablea . I never thought of standing up for the integrity and freedom of speech of hugely supportive long-term posters here, as a ‘spat’. But thanks for letting us have it 😃
