I don't really want to click on a site I don't know...anybody know what the scam is about? Welll, I clicked. It said poster got a call from dad's phone... his number and picture. Caller said they were holding dad hostage, were beating him up, and would kill him if she didn't immediately send $1000. It sounded like her dad's voice in the background. she paid the money in a panic, then brother called dad who was at home and fine. Pretty sophisticated scam if the story is true. |

Hubby had a major, major security issue to deal with at his company because a employee clicked on a link without checking, so now I'm a bit spooked. That sounds like the scam going around a few years ago where they called older people to say that grandson or granddaughter was in jail, and needed money to bail them out. My parents got one of those. My dad asked them personal questions that his real grandson would know, so they hung up on him lol. |
