Nothing personal, Nightowl, but licorice is so gross lol  I love it! At least most of it. There are so many different kinds and tastes, that most people find at least some that they like. At least in this part of the world. The liquorice that I saw in the US (in 1996) had nothing in common with what I call „real liquorice“. But I believe that you can buy some of the „real stuff“ from Northern Europe there by now? All I know is just the smell makes me want to gag. Probably just me and my taste buds lol. I didn't grow up eating licorice, so when I first came to America and somebody gave me some to try, I spit it right back out  But I also can't eat fudge, so I'm just going to assume there's something wrong with me  |

I could become addicted to Scandinavian salty licorice. It's not something you can find in shops, though. The variety I like the most came from Jacobsensalt.com. Pricey. Licorice.com says it has salty licorice, but, while it's decent and certainly not American sweet licorice, it doesn't hit that bitter flavor. Then, my sister-in-law (husband's sister) raised in the US, but moved to Sweden in 1978, can't abide salty licorice.
