Does this mean that the shorter version is all we see on the air? We don't get to see him wave to Sauli and talk about being in love? Okay, I labeled it wrong, apologies. The longer version is the one on TV. The shorter version is only about the Finland incident that some websites only showed. I will fix my post. Thanks for letting me know.

Lambert explained the situation by tweeting: "Jetlag+Vodka= blackout. Us÷blackout= irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press= lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+ hangover burgers= laughing bout it. " Luckily, he stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week to explain things a little more eloquently. He was a little hesitant to talk about it, but finally said, "You know, relationships are work. I'm so lucky to have fallen in love with a great partner, and everybody has their ups and downs. Things happen. When you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out of control, and people can get upset and emotional. What happened was we had too much to drink, we screwed up. There were no injuries, no violence -- it was just childish messiness." Not to worry, Glamberts -- your man is not on a downward spiral.more...

Thanks for letting me know. Yay! TM Sauli I'm glad it's the longer version. I've got the show on right now. She just introduced Rob Lowe. Have you ever noticed how long TV shows are when you're waiting for Adam to be on?

His appearance on Ellen was just sublime! Both the interview (which mixed adorable with sublime) and the performance which even surpassed the Leno performance. Probably more relaxed the second time around. It doesn't take Adam very long to reach the pinnacle of perfection. And man he really rocked it. I watched it on the videos first & then on my TV at 3pm. And I will be watching it over & over. If this damn song doesn't get massive radio play something is really wrong with US radio! Oh, wait........... Oh and btw - although Rob Lowe is admittedly good looking Adam is way more gorgeous.

Great performances both on Leno and on Ellen!
I liked a lot the aggressive attack to the song on Leno, the narrower voice which sounded sharp to paint the cold and bitter in the beginning, the growing groove and deliberate interpretation to underline determination of his statement, the tender a cappella part all alone to show the feeling and the cathartic elevation in last part of the song to express the joy of having got the message out emphatically ending in vocal improvisation with the heavenly and strong voice.
On the other hand his rendering on Ellen was a bit more gentle and sounded much better, the arch was rising all along the song but never got overboard. The Leno act was more desperate and maybe a bit overdramatic compared to the one on Ellen which conveyed sensitive, more narrative-like and more serene expression which actually in my opinion is more suited to the contents of the lyrics. However, I cannot forget the contrast between strong delivery and tender moment in the middle in Leno performance but I must admit that the Ellen version was more stylish and whole.
Huge thanks to all that made this possible by posting links and uploading parts fo the show! I am very grateful that I get to listen (and watch) both performances and ecperience first hand the phenomenon that I have read about, namely that Adam is a superb performer, follows his instincts and the feel from the audience delivering us a new version of the song every time. That really is a quality seldom met.
It is very good that these two show visits were featured on every site possible gaining at least a mention of his name and keeping it on the headlines. I never realised that tv-shows have that much following on the press. Thought that tv is a good media to introduce an artist to a larger audience who probably won't read the entertainment/music sections. It seems the shows give an added exposure also to those who don't watch the shows but read entertainment/music articles instead. Dissappointingly quite many reported from Ellen only Adam's comments on the Helsinki incident without any mention of the single or the upcoming album. Well, I just have to believe that some of the readers will check out his music anyway and surely there will be more promo to come which hopefully concentrates on the music.

Hoopla, I share your joy completely but could you - as just a favor to me - not call our esteemed Durberville 'Durbs' - it was triggering - complete with flashback involving scary bandanas and horrible caterwauling noises. LMAO! I'm so so very sorry! I was in too much of a hurry and didn't even realize...I apologize Durberville! (honestly, he's just not even in my brain...) And to you, too, Mika...goddess knows, the only flashbacks I want you to have are GOOD ones! BWAHAHA! I feel like I should apologize to the entire fandom for having that unfortunate name...."durbs" has been my online nick (for years and years) and yet it even makes ME cringe now. ;D (Thankyou Mr. Durbin) ____________ Just watched Ellen on my TV. Man, Adam is beautiful.

Well belle - that's tabloid journalism for you. It infects even supposedly non-tabloid sites. They only focus on the gossipy stuff that they think the public wants. (And they're probably right). But as you said his name will get out there again & peeps will check out the music.
