Daughtry just released a rock cover song of Journey's "Separate Ways" (featuring Lizzy Hale) and it went straight to #1 overall on itunes. Good for him. I'm always happy to see something other than pop do well. When he left RCA and went indie, he stopped chasing top 40 and went more into rock and less pop/rock then started to get some good rock radio play with his first indie album. It went #10 on rock albums. Not sure how he managed to get two songs to play and chart on rock radio as an indie artist (something he couldn't do with RCA) but he did. One song went to #13 on BBrock. Must have a team who know how to get him radio play. I'll be curios to see if his cover song gets some play on rock radio as well. Adam has released three cover songs but hoping he can get something on US radio in any format. But I'm afraid when it comes to Adam, it is still pop or nothing and good songs will fail to go anyplace. Oh well, I love the songs he has released and still looking forward to the album.

These "new listener" videos are always so fun. The listener is flabbergasted, gobsmacked, stunned and gloriously impressed! Love it when others see and hear what we do. Surprised to see the QAL/Gaga performance again. Enough said.
Looking forward to that long interview about the making of each cover song. Hope it's not on one of those channels that's hard to access.

And yes, Lurleen, the radio play issue is a constant puzzle. Good for Daughtry. I like him. Adam deserves the same support and recognition. Just sayin'.
