No worries re Ryan, just a bit jealous. Adam is actively pushing to go global this round. Ryan felt left out. There is definitely a shift in the air. Ryan senses it and did not know how to respond to it. It's all good. Really. JMO. Ryan isn't jealous of Adam. Ryan was just an ass this morning. I am surprised because his interviews are usually good. I am just writing off KIIS, LA and not going to expect them to play Adam until he has a huge Top 10 hit. It may not happen with BTIKM, but it WILL happen with one of the singles from this album. If what we are hearing, from the UK, about Cuckoo, Trespassing and a few others, it will happen eventually. I hope karma does it's job and Ryan/KIIS is forced to play Cuckoo (or Trespassing or whatever) 10x an hour for months on end when it explodes and then talk about the genius that is Adam and Trespassing!

Ryan isn't jealous of Adam. No, he isn't jealous of Adam. He is apprehensive of Adam's album promo so far; not US-centric, so to speak. Sort of a power play if you will.

Someone commented that Adam was looking at a more global approach. He could really carve out a long term niche by focusing on Europe, Asia, So. America. Some artists develop very lucrative media and marketing campaigns in other countries and do much better than they might in the US over the long haul. Adam will always have a fan base here but as he has said, other countries are more open and accepting. I think Adam will always be trying new things and pushing the envelope and that would fit in with a more open and accepting society.

I didn't hear the interveiw (and won't bother to now), but where was Adam's management in this? Shouldn't it have been a stipulation that the single would get played? Seems that should have been taken care of before Adam even agreed to the interview.
Honestly, Adam should just skip Ryan/KIIS at least with this particular single. They will not be playing it. He would do much better to hit some key HAC stations (how about WTMX in Chicago) and the CHR stations that will play it, like Z100.

I think Ryan is pissed he didn't get to "premier" the single & wasn't the very first promo. There have been radio interviews elsewhere before him & Adam is in SanFran to do in person interviews today and NOT in Ryan's studio - just calling in. Of course, last era, having Ryan premier and get that 1st interview did absolutely NOTHING for getting Adam played on the radio, so why should he give Ryan those perks this time?

Ryan isn't jealous of Adam. No, he isn't jealous of Adam. He is apprehensive of Adam's album promo so far; not US-centric, so to speak. Sort of a power play if you will. Couldn't agree more. Ryan aligns himself with the stars and makes fun of the has-beens and wannabes, that's his persona. He is starting to think Adam is in the latter category because his US promo hasn't kicked in yet. He can't be more wrong. Time will show him. Interesting though that friendship means nothing to him, it's all about who is riding the wave currently.
