Oh, Bertie, please post. You English is great. A lot of native speakers don't know how to use the hyphen properly, as you did above.  grumble grumble I'm using hyphens more than I used to. Ok, what I'm really bad at is excess commas, and spelling (but google chrome has fixed that), and capitalization, and relevancy, and trying to get the written word to express pauses and voice tone and false grimaces. Thank you for smileys  When I write casually I use a lot more dashes and dots then when I write for real......I guess I think it "sounds" more like a conversation with pauses for thought -- don't know. |

A request: I need a new avi for this era. Is anyone who is good at finding and/or making .gifs (rheimer, gelly, seoulmate, chunkey??), I'd like a shot of Adam waving or saying "hi" or "thanks guys" (like at end of Leno performance, though that's too far away). Or when he waves and mouths Thank you on Ellen when they cut from two-shot to just Adam. (I'll find video and give the time stamp ...) Any other ideas would be appreciated! How about when he waves at Sauli and says "Hi Baby!" There must be a gif of that somewhere. I was looking at that moment, but his hand goes off frame and he kind of turns to the side. I was hoping for a more front-on shot (full frontal?  LOL, j/k). Okay, now that I've successfully managed to watch the Nicki vid – didn't really mind it one way or another. It's a crazy song with a crazy assemblage of images ... but I did realize it premiered on a Friday and I was asking a few days ago if there is a standard day when videos debut and it did seem like Fridays were quite common. Sooooo, next week?? 1/27?? Let's call it!! |

I managed to get to teh 1:00 mark before the seizure inducing light got me to turn it off. in one day. And over 170 new comments in the time it took to watch it. Truly mind boggling. I'm quoting myself because I'm getting such a kick about the number of views Niki is getting. Now at 2,601,509 views, up 1 million since I posted this morning. |

This is a cut/paste project from the Copacabana program from 2001. Brooke was part of the company; I think some said it was her first professional show.  (Don't judge me, the tickets were free!) Not gonna judge. Barry Manilow gets a really bad rap I think. The man is an incredible songwriter and he's really hilarious too. He does not take himself seriously at all. I was a very uncool, unhip teenager because I LOVED him right along with Bing Crosby, John Denver, Bobby Goldsburo, Billy Joel, Rush, Bowie, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, and Van Halen. I graduated in 79. My favorite Manilow routine was on a live concert album where he did a medley of commercial jingles that he wrote then told a story about his favorite jingle that didn't sell. He proceeds to sing this jingle which was fun and catchy and great and everyone is into it until the last line which goes "Hoover Really Sucks!!!" The audience about dies laughing as he stand there saying "I just don't understand why they didn't like it?" |
