Last night's thread was tremendous! In case some of you missed it, there are some really great posts, and I wanted to bring a couple over: Marie23 wrote: Adam is just..I don't know. I don't follow, or haven't follow many if any artists before Adam. But he just really seems to love his fans so much. rihannsu replied: It is really more than just loving his fans. Many artists love their fans but few seem to have the genuine APPRECIATION that Adam has for his fans. Good lord he even called us "ladies of a certain age" his surrogate mothers! He truly appreciates the passion and love that we feel for him and the protectiveness. He has a sincere appreciation for the powerful weapon that we can be when focused in the right direction and he has shaped and molded us into an incredible asset to his career. He has also returned our loyalty and devotion with his own loyalty to us and he has forced the media to recognize our strength. He has truly made us partners in his success. He really has changed the way media perceives a passionate fan base. Marie23: This, totally this. I just want to hug and save this post, and read it over and over again. This is what I feel when reading or listening to him talk. You just really feel the love and appreciation in his voice. It's just so genuine. Gah, maybe I just need some sleep, but I just feel so overwhelmed, from all of the news from the past few days. adamlambert Adam Lambert Woah the Stupid Hoe video by Nicki Minaj is a trip!! (Skingraft werk it out!!) 53 seconds ago Yep, pretty bad! If it's any consolation, he said it's a trip, not that it's good or that he liked it.

Yesterday at 8:17pm, chunkeymonkey81 wrote: I have to say tho, as a fan who is basically only a few months older than Adam, I kinda resent the meme that he only has older fans. EDIT: Also have to say that it's not the older fans per se that are embarrassing to potential new fans, but it's the same group who are at every show who have money to burn and are aggressive and obnoxious and stalkerish. There's a part of me that HOPES AGAINST HOPE that they HATE this new album and GTFO to make way for actual saner fans. rabbitrabbit:I think that there is definitely a 'squeaky (and more cash and time flush) wheel get's the grease' phenomena with regards to how Adam fans have been perceived by the media and in some ways by others outside the fandom. The same faces at radio meet and greets things irks me too, but it is similar to certain prominent personality types interacting with media personalities on twitter or flocking to comments sections -- making noise frequently gets you noticed. The thing that bothered me the most about the fan bit on Ryan wasn't the age or tipsy-ness in fact (or that it was hardly fair to single them out), it was the Elvis comparison. If the squeaky wheels don't seem to be interested in, or are even outright dismissive and contempous of pop music - the genre of music Adam is making, the music top 40 radio is playing, there is a disconnect there, and radio DJs who only really notice these squeaky fans could assume that this isn't a fanbase that their airplay needs to cater to. (Not that they are necessarily making airplay decisions, but you get my drift). There is a fan I follow on twitter who is younger and I've always been really impressed by the way she interacts with media and comments sections by being positive and light. I was looking at Ryan's @ replies and she was one of several younger fans slightly fed up and saying 'I'm right here, I've been here all along, why don't you see me, I feel invisible'. I'm Ryan's age, but sometimes reading through comment after comment here about hating to listen to pop radio, about how it's all crap, about how rap isn't real music (it's been around 30 years, it's not going away, and it does have complexity and validity) I feel the same way, a little invisible. I totally appreciate the diversity of the fanbase here and everywhere else, btw, this isn't directed at anyone, I'm just lamenting a little bit the lack of time to be squeaky I guess. For me my first mental image of Elvis (and I'm a little ashamed that this is frankly the first thing that comes to mind, because I know it's not fair to his legacy at all) is of a troubled Vegas act who died on his toilet and is occasionally spotted like Bigfoot. What if the group of ladies interviewed had said Adam reminded them of Justin Timberlake? Or that they love Adam and Bruno the best of the Male pop singers? How might that have thrown a wrench in the narrative? I'm just thinking aloud a bit. QueenAI:can we all read this again please? I don't want it to get lost in today's goodies. *applyappropriatesmimliesatwill* « Last Edit: Yesterday at 10:42pm by QueeenAl » Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=674&page=43#ixzz1k6RmUP8V

idolator.com/6147892/lana-del-rey-madonna-adam-lambertWhatcha Say: Lana Del Rey, Madonna and Adam Lambert Got Our Readers TalkingThis week, chances are you were either hating on or defending Lana Del Rey’s Saturday Night Live performance — we wanted to do the latter, but ended up doing the former — but believe it or not, there was plenty more going on in the world of pop. The ever-growing feud between Madonna and Elton John, Adam Lambert’s recent television appearances. If you’re one of the few people who don’t know what’s going on, don’t worry, check out our reader’s comments below for their thoughts. :: Finally, something everyone can agree on — readers expressed only praise for Adam Lambert’s performance on the Tonight Show. Sizzling wrote: “Vocal, visual and emotional perfection!! That’s Adam Lambert!! Love the rock wails at the end and that stunning, make-up free look!” And one of the comments they published about Ms. Del Ray: "...shes the performer i would go see at a bar because i want a personal experience. which if you think about it, those are the best kinds of artists. she keeing it real, she knows shes not good live, but anyone worth hearing rarely is, you go to a show for the experience, not for a lip syncing and dancing 30 yr old robot.” Bolded part! ???

gaycom Gay.net Adam Lambert on Boyfriend Brawl: 'It was childish, foolish, messiness' ow.ly/1gQxYo5 minutes ago ADAM LAMBERT ON BOYFRIEND BRAWL: 'IT WAS CHILDISH, FOOLISH, MESSINESS'BY: JOE THOMPSON 1.21.2012 Singer Adam Lambert was on Ellen last Thursday where he discussed his arrest in Finland last month. Forgot about the arrest? (Insert wavy flashback lines here...) The former American Idol star was in Helsinki, Finland with his boyfriend Sauli Koskinenon. The couple went to a gay club, got drunk, started arguing about something, got kicked out and continued fighting on the street. Lambert then accidentally hit a Finnish beauty queen (and ex-Miss Helsinki) during the argument, and the two guys were arrested. They were released some hours later. (Get more details on Gay.net.) So now Lambert is talking about the incident. In this quick interview with the lesbian talk show host, he completely owns his behavior and discusses the life lesson learned from the experience. Koskinenon (right) is in the audience lending support... and hair fashion. Check it out, then watch his performance of "Better Than I Know Myself" after. (linked to videos)
