Ok, I spent some time writing an earlier post grousing about lack of radio play and not getting awards, etc. And then I see this lovely chat with this lovely man who seems quite happy and is very busy with all kinds of projects that use his magnificent voice. Fans from all over the world are saying hello and they love him to pieces. I guess I should just stop complaining about radio play and awards shows. If it happens, so be it. If not, Adam will surely be around for a long time to come doing what he loves. He is adored and respected. And he has great hair and lovely eyes and a great personality. I think his little spiel about weight gain was so spot-on. Especially the part about being skinnier but not necessarily happier. He still looks fabulous to me. And he does say that he might just lose some weight in the future. His voice and personality are what drew me to him in the first place. And of course, the fact that he was, and still is, just plain gorgeous. All of your points are on point, lol. But on the other end, one of the news personalities on one of the cable stations was thrilled that a new Jazz artist won two awards last night. He pointed out how great it was cause it could change everything for her or others with US visibility and touring income. The Beyonces of the world don't need it but they get it anyway. But agree there is not much point in dwelling on Adam's lack of radio play or awards and applaud his great opportunities and achievements. But I would be lying to myself if I said I did not care that such a talent's music fails to be heard and rewarded on a larger scale as well. HA. But always glad that he is happy and hope great opportunities continue to come his way. |

Lurleene, of course, I will always pray that Adam gets the radio play, etc. that he deserves. I love when some random fan posts "Why isn't Adam Lambert a much bigger star?" Sure, the radio play DOES make a difference. I guess my last post kind of made me feel better, at least for a while. Sometimes self-therapy works. LOL The nuts and bolts of the music business are a mystery. Adam says he has a "team." I sometimes wonder what they're doing.

But...his 'team' has got him on more television and in the media more in the last few months than in the last few years altogether. He is getting masses of attention lately....it is awesome.... |

I always tell myself Adam is super smart, has learned a helluva lot of the business in the last 10 years, and I'm betting he's not a passive bystander in his own career. He likes to take control, he's said as much, so whatever "his team" is doing, I'm betting he's right in the middle of it. |

Three things he mentioned stood out for me:
1) he IS Happy atm - self explanatory, just awesome
2) he is a VOCALIST - great to hear! because too many times we’ve heard “it’s not about vocals” line (but still true for the industry he is in though)
3) he’ll have some “tasty” stops in different places to promote High Drama , including Germany - very exciting news!

Beyonce did not win Album of the Year. She won 4 times last night and and broke the record for most Grammy wins of all-time. But the media (and her fans) are complaining because she failed to win Album of the Year. This is the media take.
"The artist is tied with her husband, Jay-Z, for most nominations all-time with 88 but she has only won 32 times. Most significantly, Beyoncé has lost album of the year four times to Taylor Swift, Beck, Adele and now Styles."
Boo-Hoo for her! I am not ashamed for wishing for more radio play and some award nominations for Adam and will whenever I feel like it, lol. It is not the worst thing to want more exposure for him even if it never happens. And it is minor in comparison.

I was reminded today that Kim Petras is not actually the first trans artist to receive a grammy. That honor went to Wendy Carlos. A pioneer in electronic music who won 3 grammys. Her dead name was Walter Carlos. She is now 83. She did Switched on Bach advancing synthesizer instrumentation, and Clockwork Orange.

I added a last remark…. When he is talking he may not see all the questions streaming by. But… I too have posted what I thought were engaging questions and never have had ONE ANSWERED. Maybe he did not see them or …lol…or he did not want to answer. 🤣 I always find it weird, when he asks for questions, while I see a lot of questions on my screen…😂 I keep wondering, when or if he sees, what I see. It's why interview hosts read questions to him. In one livestream I think Terrance was trying to get him to answer a question and Adam just ignored him. I really wish he would switch it up and have somebody else set him up. He always answers questions like starting a makeup line. Nobody is going to keep asking interesting questions if it's only the makeup line that gets interaction. |
