Interesting to hear him say re the whole Glam thing, that the whole instant celebrity thing was so overwhelming, he kind of felt he had to hide behind all the eyeliner and makeup and glitz, etc. ---> he felt more comfortable that way... Guess it made him feel safer somehow... Maybe like the safety one feels when you put on a mask. hmmmmm.... I can understand that. |

Sort of interested in Adam's explanations of the album title, because he hasn't mentioned what to me is one of the most prominent echoes of the word, from the Lords Prayer: forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. I'm not remotely religious, but this echo suits Adam's album story, to my mind, both in the sense of trespassing as the conventional idea of sinning (Adam as trespasser, see OOL, or, possibly, Shady), or in the sense, from this line, of solid relationships involving mistakes and mutual forgiveness. (see BTIKM). Live and let live realness, so to speak. But Adam hasn't mentioned that.

If you read his tweets, he's always acting like he's got super ~sekrit info he's letting us in on. YAWN. I think Toby Knapp is a passive-aggressive hit-whore. How can he compliment the fans while within the same few paragraphs say we steal A's music? Yuck. I do not want to pay any more attention to him. If Adam does talk to him, I'll ask someone else to tell me what he says. I've never followed him, and he is in the douchey dj column for me, just like Moser is in the douchey reviewer column. I don't care whether they do occasionally praise. They don't do it from a place of honesty or love. ADIOS, YOU'RE A GHOST, YOU'RE A VAPOR little man (men). Exactly - I am ignoring him (not that I ever followed him)  : I just want to let you all know how happy I am to be here. For those of you who don't know, I was unhappy at my other site because I could not post or comment freely without getting a lot of backlash from other members (e.g. I couldn't post about Monte, Durbin, or even the GB). I tried to post about this subject (Toby's article) but got a lot of backlash. Just so glad to be here where I can express my frustration without having to worry about getting berated. |
