I take back what I said about I Can't Stand The Rain, I unplugged my headphones and let it blast in the room through the speakers.
I like it on second listen! It would have been a good fit on Velvet next to Comin In Hot...

Ok, so the trick with DYRWTHM is to try and forget the original ever existed.  Objectively, the cover is great. It is just so different that it causes a dissonance in my brain. My fault, not Adam's. |

Oh, and someone I think girldrummer asked how Adam is going to make money on the "High Drama" album. My two cents here... fan merchandise, ideally touring, and hopefully a good amount of album sales. Renewed visibility and continuous opportunities in the entertainment field are probably a longer term "pay off". Yes, he seems to be getting tons of publicity for this album, and simultaneously getting the word out about the play he's writing. He's all over the place...I can't even keep up lol. |

Of the new songs my favorites are, Chandelier, I Can't Stand the Rain, I'm a Man and Sex on Fire.
Yay! Finally some movement on Amazon. #89 Best Seller overall and #36 Best Seller Rock.

You are so right! It's not just about the money, although that's a major thing. A more long term payoff is the exposure and the connections he is making with this album. The reactions and reviews are SO good. I hope the US supports him on iTunes, too, along with the streaming and viewing. So glad to get these audios and vids! Can't wait for my CD to arrive, too. |
