[grins] LOLLIES ARE READY! We've got extra-special [glow=yellow,2,300]KARMIC KREMES !!![/glow]. [laughs] The bucket has made these before, but never quite like this! [shows off a bucket full of sparkling yellow lollies, each with a shimmering dragon glowing around the middle with black-and-yellow ribbons reminesent of police tape cascading below] [laughs] I'm not sure, but traditionally each one you eat will help bring about all good things that are deserved. Very lucky for this year of the dragon. ;D [laughs while making little oinking noises] Chapf! Set me up with gelly and the other piggies please! I'll have 3 - Thanks for honoring us dragons! Hoppers, can you please explain to the newbies about the lollies?

slapdash larue and anyone else confused by how to vote on Siris XM the links on the front page of Atop don't take you directly there. You have to scroll down to the Top Picks - Vote for your top songs now section. And then 'click here to vote' it will take you directly to THIS page:
www.siriusxm.com/topsongs which is shared between both the top 20 and top 40 sirius sites - it's the exact same request page/URL Thanks!! I have sirius and their site drives me nuts.

First of all....WHY THE HELL IS ANYONE TAKING ANYTHING THAT HIT SEEKING ATTENTION HOAR IS SAYING TO BE TRUTH? Srsly. Secondly....RCA can't be happy with the numbers so far? Erm WAT? They *just* started pushing it so how can they be disappointed that a single THAT NO ONE BUT FANS KNEW EXISTED AND HAD HARDLY ANY PROMO AT ALL is doing so far? I mean I think it did awesome for having absolutely no push when it dropped. And if RCA is in fact disappointed then they can shove the R up their A because it's their job to push this thing so whatever. That being said, here is something to chew on: From Wiki: Hrm. Innteeeresssting. LOL. Now I know MJ and Adam are MILES apart and to compare is kinda silly--MJ was already an established artist with hit music and albums and Adam is a newbie--but even this legendary album seemed to have it's issues and naysayers about it's initial single. AND LOOK HOW THAT TURNED OUT. Just sayin. I know we want the lead to smash--but at this point I would be happy with a moderate hit to be followed up by an AMAZING album that leaves everyone speechless. I think it will do fine--not maybe fine enough for some angsters--OF WHICH I NEED TO LEARN TO IGNORE BECAUSE IT'S ONLY MY FAULT FOR LETTING THEM GET TO ME AND I KNOW BETTER--but I think it will be ok in the end. It may climb slowly but I think it will be ok. I agree. As I said in my earlier post, if RCA is disappointed, it's on them. But given that they seemingly have done very little up to this point to push BTIKM, it would be a little surprising to me if they are disappointed. Did they think that all 1.3 million of Adam's Twitter followers would run out and buy BTIKM on 12/20? Not likely, for a variety of reasons. Someone here speculated that maybe the December launch w/o support was a test of Glambert power -- that is, how far Adam's fanbase and social media could generate awareness and sales for BTIKM. Well, if that was the plan, RCA now has their answer. As companies in other industries have discovered, social media is only one tool in generating awareness. And it doesn't take the place of radio (or other mass market media) in making more casual fans or non-fans aware of a new single (or a new product). If RCA wants BTIKM to be a hit, they need to push to get radio play and promotion so that a lot more people can become aware and hear the song. So, we'll see what they do in the next week or so -- should be interesting. Also, I love your note about "The Girl is Mine" -- I didn't know that was the first single from Thriller. I love that album, but I've always thought that TGIM was the weakest song on it -- IMO it's just a boring, treacly song. After the first listen, I usually skipped it when I played the album (actually, I still do!). So the moral to the story is: the first single does not always determine the success of an album, especially when you've got good 2nd or 3rd singles waiting in the wings. Hmm, doesn't that sound familiar ... FYE, anyone? (Again, no angst. I just find this discussion about RCA interesting from a business perspective. And, of course, because I want Adam to do well. )

Q3, you mentioned a while back that fans didn't need to give much effort to Z100. Just curious, was that complete speculation or do you have some kind of inside info. on this? Because this is an add that could push the song at least into the top 40. RCA may not have ever considered BTIKM to be a potential monster hit. But you can bet they were counting on top 10 HAC at least. I was told RCA had it covered and that fans should not request over the holiday break. That is all I know. The holiday break is over and ? I have no idea what is going on at Z100 and if they will or will not add the song. These PD they have their pride and maybe some of them are arrogance. So I bet they wanted Adam to come to their radio station to promote the song rather than just expect them to add and play it. Adam’s not Kelly or Carrie or Daughtry yet. I remembered Toby put it on his blog, saying that a phone call from Adam’s nice but he prefers Adam to visit him in his studio. I remembered when promoting WWFM, Adam went to WLPJ in NY & Z100, not sure why he didn’t come this time. Maybe they scheduled him to do it when they released the album. In regards to Z100, I remember the radio promotion that he’s going to be on the Jingle Ball 2010 and Adam himself said that he would be in NY in December 2010 (we all assumed that he would be on Z100 Jingle Ball 2010. But suddenly he’s not. So not sure if they’re disappointed. I still think RCA needs to send Adam to visit Z100, WLPJ and Chicago radio stations if they want these stations to play BTIKM.

Once again...WHY IS ANYONE BELIEVING WHAT TOBY IS SAYING? Srsly. There is o use getting upset over what RCA *allegedly* said to someone who never used to give a shit about A until he saw the power of their clicks...*eyeroll* We have NO PROOF whatsoever of what RCA thinks or doesn't think. Forget Toby - Q3 is saying the same thing (which is unsettling btw :-/) - Her friends (coworkers? sources? whomever) who "work closely with RCA" are saying such n' such.... Sorry Q3, but I'm not buying it either. Anyone in the business KNOWS Adam Lambert fans do not share music....and I can't imagine the label not expecting the exact results the single has gotten to date. There must be a plan. Anyone with any sense knows that what the single needs and has always needed since it was released in December is radio to play it. That is RCA's job. If there is even a problem, which I am not convinced there is really because it is early, it is not the fans fault, it is radio play. So RCA, GET ON IT!
