It makes sense that Adam would do well on the UK charts. He has been high profile on tv there constantly since he started on Starstruck and other tv shows plus a little radio play. Different story in the US as he came in at #126 BB200 #7 album. He had several tv performances, as he always does when he has new material, but he has no radio presence. And unless you have massive streaming numbers (he doesn't), radio gives you constant and repeat exposure more than a few tv performances. But I guess some can put to rest the argument that Adam's sales decreased when he stopped wearing OTT makeup. Since Covid, he has really been layering on the eye makeup but his sales did not rebound. Besides most Adam fans will buy anything he puts out heavy makeup, light makeup or none. I know I do, lol. The reality is album sales have been going down for years for most not named Adele, Taylor, Harry, Beyonce or Rappers with huge streaming numbers. Look at Sam. He reached BB200 at #7 with just 39K sales first week and he had a massive #1 radio hit and performance on SNL and the Grammy's. Even Daughtry reached #50 on BB200 and #4 rock with his last indie album but he was getting pretty good rock radio play. Rock does not have the audience/reach/competition of pop and is less youth oriented but at least he was getting his music heard on the radio. Even his latest cover song has reached #10 on rock radio. I doubt that he is more popular than Adam as his concert venues now are a bit smaller than Adam's solo, so radio helps. But Adam has been able to do very well and remain high profile without US radio by having many different avenues and success so I'm happy for him. And yay for him charting well in the UK and Australia and a few other places. Glad his UK concert sold out. Looking forward to his rock n roll musical/album and his movie and hopefully more QAL.

svca. I suppose that’s the risk any artist takes when booking a venue…even with one show, they risk it not selling well and it being public knowledge to fans, management and peers. I t must take some courage I think. But the management team would be gathering info on the chances of a second show selling well. And this kind of show has to be very lucrative for Adam. So far it augurs well…but I agree no one would want the instant-sell-out success to be marred by a concert too far. Adam looks like a very happy man right now…so lovely to see.

That was kind of my point. I know fans want him to do a show in practically every city in every country lol, but I'm sure there are lots and lots of factors involved in deciding where to do a show, or how many shows to do.

Just me, but re RAH...wouldn't it be better to leave it at one sold-out-in-30-minutes show rather than add another one and have trouble with selling enough tickets? Yes, I agree. Especially in this case, because the dates before and after Adam’s concert are already booked. That means that fans traveling from further away can’t just stay overnight and enjoy a second show. There would at least be several days between the shows, or even the other concert in Cologne. The many fans who‘re going to get there from other countries or other parts of the UK won’t travel there twice. And for Adam and his team the costs with traveect would also add up.

I have moaned and groaned about Adam's lack of radio play for years, esp. in the US. Still can't figure it out. I know that album sales have been going down for all but the top-most artists. Adam's fanbase is pretty darn big and we are certainly loyal buyers, streamers, viewers. He is doing very well, all in all. I want to be there when that day comes when he shoots to #1 in actual sales and gets played on the radio. It will happen, IMO.

I'm just going to comment quickly what happened to me when I tried to help streaming numbers etc for Adam...I may not be the only one but....hey. First, I have all things Apple. The first two things I did was pre-order High Drama digital, from Apple and the CD from Amazon. I realized that the digital tracks did not count as sales unless I downloaded them, so I did that. Apple offered a deal on Apple Music so I subscribed to that. Well...Apple will NOT stream music you already have in your library...they immediately default to what you already have. So the conundrum is that your digital music does not count if it is downloaded but you cannot stream it if you have it downloaded. After about an hour of apple support and me trying everything I gave up and 'quit' Apple Music. They don't admit it but the only reason for them doing that is that they do not want to pay the 'fees' [tiny as they are] from streaming if the don't have to...even though you are paying for the streaming service.....grrrrrrr. I guess it is back to Spotify! I have Amazon prime but I suspect if Apple is doing that, it is most likely that Amazon music is also...though that may not be the case. Do you know, dancygeorgia?

For me, he has to have some kind of radio play on one of the less competitive charts to have ANY consideration for awards or on the major streaming playlists. They keep talking of his rock leanings, rocker or glam rock, and he says he knows rock is his lane so why not get him on the rock or alt charts? It doesn't need to be super heavy or top the charts but other's teams, with less rock cred than he, manage to get their artists there and win awards/nominations. I know he has a great career and is very successful but I would just like to see him get some award recognition and he has to get radio play in the US to get there. He is that good and well loved so why not him?

"Personal space" ---non-existant with interviewing someone you barely know---seems so odd---Adam just stays the course.
