I have moaned and groaned about Adam's lack of radio play for years, esp. in the US. Still can't figure it out. I know that album sales have been going down for all but the top-most artists. Adam's fanbase is pretty darn big and we are certainly loyal buyers, streamers, viewers. He is doing very well, all in all. I want to be there when that day comes when he shoots to #1 in actual sales and gets played on the radio. It will happen, IMO. Ha! I think we are the few who care about that. For me, he has to have some kind of radio play on one of the less competitive charts to have ANY consideration for awards or on the major streaming playlists. They keep talking of his rock leanings, rocker or glam rock, and he says he knows rock is his lane so why not get him on the rock or alt charts? It doesn't need to be super heavy or top the charts but other's teams, with less rock cred than he, manage to get their artists there and win awards/nominations. I know he has a great career and is very successful but I would just like to see him get some award recognition and he has to get radio play in the US to get there. He is that good and well loved so why not him? I just figure Adam and his team have discussed the radio thing...I mean, he has a manager, he has a label, he has a PR team. He's been in the business for 14 years now. If the fans are that worried about it, maybe instead of asking about makeup for the umpteenth time or his favorite Queen song, ask him about his team's plan for radio play instead? It's not that I don't care about it, but it's his career and his team and their decisions, so I'm just sitting back enjoying all the promo and trying to catch up on all the appearances. Anything else is out of my control.

Yep. No one thinks they can control his career. Just a conversation of interest to some of us, lol. I scroll thru the many boyfriend pictures, makeup tutorials and friend stuff but this is of interest to me so I comment without thinking I'm in control.

syca, you're correct that Adam is not just sitting around all by himself busily not getting radio play. Of course not. He has a team and all that. And he's a bigger name that many who DO get decent radio play. I agree with Lurleene that it seems that he should at least be able to get some play on non-pop stations. Still puzzles me. I realize the power of radio play is not what it once was, but it still matters.
And it is absolutely true that winning awards does give an artist cred. Here is Adam fourteen years after Idol with an amazing voice, songs as good as anybody's, and just ONE GRAMMY NOM. Not one win. Just one nom. I think it does matter. It shows a broad acceptance of artists and their music. It makes a singer more acceptable to like. Those Grammys trophies are not just hunks of metal. They have real value in the music marketplace. At least I think they do.

I want to be there when that day comes when he shoots to #1 in actual sales and gets played on the radio. It will happen, IMO. I'm just going to comment quickly what happened to me when I tried to help streaming numbers etc for Adam...I may not be the only one but....hey. First, I have all things Apple. The first two things I did was pre-order High Drama digital, from Apple and the CD from Amazon. I realized that the digital tracks did not count as sales unless I downloaded them, so I did that. Apple offered a deal on Apple Music so I subscribed to that. Well...Apple will NOT stream music you already have in your library...they immediately default to what you already have. So the conundrum is that your digital music does not count if it is downloaded but you cannot stream it if you have it downloaded. After about an hour of apple support and me trying everything I gave up and 'quit' Apple Music. They don't admit it but the only reason for them doing that is that they do not want to pay the 'fees' [tiny as they are] from streaming if the don't have to...even though you are paying for the streaming service.....grrrrrrr. I guess it is back to Spotify! I have Amazon prime but I suspect if Apple is doing that, it is most likely that Amazon music is also...though that may not be the case. Do you know, dancygeorgia?I don't know how Amazon handles this. Which is one reason why I think the best place to buy the digital version is from Adam's official store. The other reason why I bought the digital download from Adam's official store is that there you can download the album in 4 different formats: FLAC, MP3, M4A, ALAC. Having the high quality FLAC format to download, rather than having to rip it from the CD, makes this the best download deal for me. I bought physical CDs from both Amazon & Adam Official store. I have also been streaming from Amazon Music Unlimited which is the premium Amazon music service that costs extra. I like it because you can stream music in ULTRA HD & DOLBY ATMOS from the unlimited service. Of course you need really good speakers or headphones to hear the difference in the higher quality audio over MP3 or M4A. And Amazon Music does not seem to know that I bought a physical CD from Amazon.

And Amazon Music does not seem to know that I bought a physical CD from Amazon. I stopped using my Amazon music for that reason. When they "updated" their music last year, any music I had been streaming but not purchasing was not played. An alternate, generally from another artist, was played instead. You had to purchase the unlimited to get anything current and my streamed playlists, I resented it. However, I purchased the digital version from them, you could still purchase. I use Apple to stream the album. I couldn't figure out how to have the digital downloaded to either amazon or Apple from Adam's website. It seemed to only support Spotify, which I don't use. So I purchased the physical, autographed CD from Adam's website and again at the CD signing. So, right now I am streaming from Apple, I think. Adam mentioned in the Ritz interview that he changed management again. I thought Shoshanna has been with him a good while. How long has she been his manager?

Adam mentioned in the Ritz interview that he changed management again. I thought Shoshanna has been with him a good while. How long has she been his manager? Thinking about it, I would estimate that Shosh became Adam’s manager, when he went independent with Velvet. Maybe a year before he released that album? Before that she had been Adam’s publicist. When I became Adam’s fan in early 2015 she had already been there. I suspect he changed management in the USA? Because Shosh is „only“ handling the rest of the world. And besides that he changed labels ect.

Shoshanna has been Adam’s publicist for years and years… thus in our scope of Adam for a loooong time. After the independent artist period, Empire, and that team that had the Jonas brothers.. who did nothing for Adam and we’re falling apart—- Adam went with Shoshanna as Manager. A week or so ago someone posted the dates when she took over management.
I can see with Adam’s work he needs people in the US so she does not have to cover that area too. Am I correct… not sure she “manages” anyone other than Adam? Of course her large focus would be as Edge publicity clients.
I always wondered if she stepped in as Adam needed someone to guide him better!!! Haha And they get along well. I never had an indication that Shoshanna travelled with other publicity clients .. like when QAL went to Israel and her husband even came along. They holidayed together.

So, when he says he changed management again, maybe when Shoshanna formed her company, she became his manager and not just publicist? I was a bit confused because I know I have seen her name for years.
