Hey lovely ladies and dapper gents, I am home from the hospital and all the tests were negative. But the constant poking and pricking has left me tired and sleepless. DH had to drop me off at work so I can pick up my car and PC. I was at work when I had the chest pains and someone took me to the hospital. One of our VPs who know of my love for Adam told me to go home, listen to Adam and I will be healed in no time. Yeah, that is what I will do! BB is a miracle worker! Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes! Love you guise!

One more OTT, sorry. Just watched Elvis singing "Love me tender" and thought that I'd kill to hear Adam sing it!

This is so anecdotal, but worthy of note (at least to me) as we see all these neat things happening this week and next. For over a month, I have been hearing little snatches of a song on the radio. I really liked the song but somehow I never seemed to hear the title or the name of the artist. I would try to remember the lyrics so I could google it or look on the station's playlist and try to figure it out, but kept forgetting -- who remembers something like that when you get to work or get home and have to start dinner?
Anyway, this morning I heard the song again and made it a point to memorize some lyrics. I finally looked it up and it was Drops of Jupiter by Train. The point being it practically took an act of Congress just to get enough information for a 99-cent download. No wonder it's a slow build, even for a song getting decent play on that station!

This is so true. I quite often hear a song that I like and the DJ hardly ever gives the artist's name. Drives me crazy.

I listen to radio on my ipod and the song name and artist title displays while it is playing so it makes it easier. Car radio is harder if it's a new song I'm not already familiar with.

Junie and Lynne, ITA! I heard two songs at different times on Oz radio that I spent significant time trying to track down and never found. :-/ Have to run errands now, but before closing laptop decided to listen to that EMA edited vid Mahailia linked to again last night--hadn't heard/seen it in a while, and whattaya know--got totally misty-eyed at that ending! This one shows the WHOLE ending and when they were all standing their taking a bow and the crowd was screaming, I welled up. SO many awesome moments to relive while waiting for the NEW memories to be made! vimeo.com/32737435

I'm sure the radio stations think they're doing a good thing by just playing music without the DJ talking between songs, and I agree that I don't want to hear a lot of inane chatter, but I wish they'd get into a habit of stating the song title and the artist's name at the beginning and end of every song. It would benefit the artists as well as the listeners because if someone heard a song they really liked and wanted to buy it on iTunes, they could do it without first doing a lot of research.

This is one of the reasons I love my satelite radio - It tends to be very consisent with having the info available for the song you are listening to (both Title & Artist). I tend to leave mine so it shows the artist, but switch to title if I need that info. I also love the sound quality & variety of stations. My mom's new car shows info for over the air radio IF the station is broadcasting it - that seems to be somewhat iffy. Some stations are really good and others don't bother at all. Some weirdly will show something like "Michael Jackson - Thriller" for that song and then just leave it as that for the next 10 songs, so you are listening to something totally different, but it still says Michael Jackson!
