Aren't they having a lot of political problems in Israel right now? Is it going to be safe for Adam to be there, anybody know? Do we have any Israeli fans on the board? Yes and yes. We're having a major political problem in that the indicted prime minister has decided that the way for him to stay out of prison is to reform the judicial branch in a way that the executive / legislative majority (coalition) will gain control over it. So he composed a government with far right fanatics who help him do that because it meets their own various interests. I won't go into detail because this is not a political board, just to say that we are in the most dangerous situation we have ever been, because democracy itself is hanging by a thread. We've been demonstrating in the streets for 2.5 months now. Still, it is completely safe for Adam or anyone, since there is no war or fighting. It is not dangerous in this respect, I don't think. |

I've seen the headlines and read some articles. Separation of powers is essential to a democracy. No country is immune. One of our provincial Premiers is in the news for discussing a criminal case regarding Covid restrictions with justice officials. |

Admittedly I'm not a fan of heavy eye makeup, especially extremely obvious eye shadow, on anyone, so there's that - but I do think Adam's look would have worked better on stage than on TV. IMO it would make more sense being viewed at a distance, instead of via a camera being essentially right in his face. Adam is certainly knowledgeable about how to apply makeup, but I don't always think he's a great judge of what works best under what circumstances. There, I said it. Now this I can agree with - he doesn't always choose what we think would look best under different circumstances. However I disagree that this make up looks better at a distance. To me his over the top eye stuff probably looks great in the makeup mirror - ie extreme closeup as then the details don't all blend together and make a big dark eye. So I think when the camera zooms in then he looks better and when it's far away then his eyes look squinted. With Starstruck he doesn't see the final look from the TV audience viewpoint until months later like us. |
