I get the frustration and I feel it too. Pop is all about the sales and popularity. But his team knows that but they only submit his work to the pop category anyway. They know they don't stand a chance against those with massive radio and streaming numbers who appeal to the youngsters. Hopefully one day they will try something different, in one of the less competitive categories, but they seem wedded to pop so I would not bet on it, lol. Even when Adam said he was doing a rock n roll musical with an album, in one of the recent interviews he threw in pop and disco would be represented so I doubt rock or alt will be a Grammy avenue for him. So just going to hope for a good album because it does not seem we (me, ha) will finally get that rock album or something on rock or alt radio. But as long as he is happy with the outcome, and can tour with it, that is what matters the most. I always wondered how the genre for music that is submitted is chosen. I never could figure if the artist submitted in a certain category or if the Grammy's themselves chose the category to place it in. I have read there are certain things that make music either pop or rock. Maybe he just has more pop influences than rock. You are right about him being happy and able to tour it. In the case of Believe it was best male vocal, I don't know if a genre is picked for that. There are definitely more than one instances on High Drama where he could get best male vocal. It would be nicer for his own music, but the vocals on the new album are extraordinary. As they always are. The artist/teams/labels make the submissions tho the Grammy's have the option of not accepting in a category. The last time Nicki Minaj submitted in rap but they placed her in pop instead. She had a meltdown cause she said she had no chance in pop. She was correct. On the other end, Beyonce entered her work in R&B/Traditional R&B/Dance. They looked to see if she belonged in Dance, but unlike Nicki they let her stay. She won in R&B/Traditional R&B/ and 2 in dance. Brandi Carlile entered Americana/Roots/Rock. She won in Americana and two in rock. Adam's Believe could have been submitted in Traditional Pop, which is not as competitive as pop, but they didn't submit it there. They always submit him to pop only which they should know by now he can't win, even a nomination. It just seems to me if Billie Elish, Miley, Lord, Lana Del Rey and Demi and other can try rock and in other areas too I see no reason why Adam can't be considered for something other than pop. I mean he is 41 now, lf he is not a pop darling by now it will never happen, imo. Would love to be wrong tho. HA.

Can't wait to see Adam on That's My Jam! I'm sure he's great!
Lovely interview with Brian and Roger on BBCONE. They are always involved in so many projects, Queen-related and otherwise. They keep on creating and trying new things. I hope Adam's career is long and productive in the same way. I want to see him on talk shows years from now talking about everything he's done, past and present.

Last night Access Hollywood did a profile of Alisan Porter. I had forgotten she was a child star and did Curly Sue. Anyway, she mentioned she is getting married in Vegas... (this Sunday April 16th) and that she will have 80 friends and family there. Adam and Oliver certainly will be there, so maybe we'll see some photos of the event.

We don't really know when the interview was done and I am thinking she may have been married this past weekend. Otherwise, maybe she was just showing off the ring.?

Maybe some of it is Grammy putting him in pop, knowing he won't win. I am jaded and suspicious!
