I thoroughly enjoyed That's My Jam and I don't give a hoot about the points or the rules or the loosey-goosey set-up of the whole thing. It's just silly fun and apparently makes some money for charity. It's just silliness with some really talented singers having fun and getting a little wet. Adam was fabulous, of course. We expect nothing less. I wish we had heard a few seconds more of his AOBTD as the show returned from the commercial. He was REALLY rockin' it. This show gave Adam a nice media boost and that's the whole point. Gonna go back now and watch the Muffin Man again! Oliver definitely knows how lucky he is. Smart man. And I think it's pretty clear that it's rehearsed to some degree. No biggy, IMO.

I am just wondering how many agree this this assessment. I, myself, have wondered many times if Adam hasn't cut his US popularity short by touring with Queen. I know he says he loves it and it is the jewel of his career. But, I can't help but wonder if he spent more time in the US (like the beginning of his career) if he wouldn't be more popular here.

I think Adam made absolutely the right decision to join Queen...I seriously doubt he would have had a solo career that could equal being the frontman for Queen.
I actually saw that tweet and thought "what???" Thought the guy was being sarcastic actually.

Adam never „joined“ Queen. He’s their hired frontman for concerts. When you look at the Queen media, you will always read „Queen is Brian, Freddie, John and Roger.“
As for Adam’s career: He only really started this collaboration after the release of Trespassing. He hadn’t been able to do a real tour of that album, so his career hadn’t been on the way up - quite the contrary.
QAL was Adam’s lucky jackpot. It gave him the financial freedom to do whatever he likes in the future and a life that he probably never ever even dreamt of.
Without QAL Adam would probably be singing musicals on Broadway by now.
