Go Behind The Scenes With Adam Lambert, Or Your Chance To Know Him Better Than He Knows Himself

Part of what we love about Adam Lambert is that he’s always so willing to share — himself, that is. Now he’s taking fans backstage on the set of the video for his new single “Better Than I Know Myself,” giving a deliciously enticing sneak peek at the cinematic set. Speaking candidly, Lambert reveals, “I definitely wanted to take a more hands on role in the video concept and the whole process,” and we’re excited to see the visual as it translates from Adam’s imagination onto the screen. He goes on to say “I think what [director Ray Kay and I] came up with was a nice twist on the song “Better Than I Know Myself”. I think when viewers see the video they’ll look at the lyrics a little bit differently than may have first considered them.”
A twist! Should we start calling our Glambert A.L. Shyamalan instead? What could this twist be? Will boyfriend Sauli Koskinen perhaps make an appearance? Will Adam actually be a ghost? Or a vampire? Are we getting a bit carried away? The full video for “Better Than I Know Myself” will be released on Monday, so we’ll find out then. In the meantime, this is definitely a unique instance where the weekend simply cannot go fast enough!

ADAM LAMBER DISCUSSES NEW ALBUM, SAM SPARRO COLLABORATION
Adam Lambert discussed his new album and his collaboration with Sam on two tracks in a recent interview with Yahoo Music.
Adam spoke about the track”Broken English” which he co-wrote with Sam and Producer Lester Mendez. “It’s talking about communication and how sometimes language isn’t the only way we communicate. People rely so heavily on words sometimes, and it’s talking about the hidden meanings of things and the communication that can occur outside of spoken words–body language, eye contact, and how much beauty and magic there can be in that.”
He also mentioned the much buzzed about “Shady”, a collaboration with Sam and music legend Nile Rodgers. Adam had some great things to say about Mr. Sparro and the track:
“He’s amazing. He’s such a funny guy too. Even a song like that that’s a little more serious – we were just laughing the whole time. He’s really funny.”

Almost as famous for his eyeliner as he is for his high notes, Adam Lambert will show his much softer side in ‘Better Than I Know Myself.’ The ‘American Idol‘ alum took fans behind the scenes of his new video — and his new toned down look!
“‘Better Than I Know Myself’ is a song that I think anybody who has been in or is in a relationship can relate to,” Lambert said. “Sometimes you screw up, or you say something that hurts your partner’s feelings or you haven’t been supportive. This song basically owns that,” he continued. “‘Look, I’m sorry, sometimes I know I’m not perfect, but without you I don’t know what I’d do with myself. I need you, because you are the only person who knows me better than I know myself.’”

Adam Lambert Discusses What He Knows ‘Better Than I Know Myself’
Aaaaand it’s a wrap! Adam Lambert‘s new video for “Better Than I Know Myself,” that is. Excited? You should be!
Lambert claims that this new single from his upcoming Trespassing album will highlight some basic human struggles: it’s “about the relationship you have with yourself, between your dark and light side. It’s about duality; it’s about that balance and finding it and struggling to maintain it and what it means.”
He calls it a cousin to his super popular, “Whataya Want From Me,” which dealt with the insecurities of being in a relationship. He and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen look pretty solid, so let’s hope that part isn’t so true. But commercially, let’s hope that “Better Than I Know Myself” is as successful as its “cousin”!

ADAM LAMBERT: Behind The Scenes At BTIKM Video Shoot!

The GLAMNATION is fired up today... as ADAM LAMBERT has released a behind the scenes look at his new video for his new song, BETTER THAN I KNOW MYSELF.
The video will be out soon, and the coordinated effort to ramp up awareness of the single coincides with a push by RCA records, Lambert's label, for US POP RADIO airplay.
Fans who want their local stations are reminded to do the following when asking for support from local pop stations...
1) Make sure you live in the area the station serves. Stations in Florida know when fans from Denmark request, and fans from Ohio know when fans from Texas are hitting them up with requests for the song! And, as such, they don't really count because they're not from the area the station serves! If you're from a certain area, make sure you tell 'em that up front!
2) Buy the single! Soundscan records everything, sales figures are important tools for record companies as they work radio station programmers to play the song.
3) Blow up local station FACEBOOK and TWITTER FEEDS with requests... and engage. Post a post on the local FACEBOOK page. Then, have friends like, and comment. This helps in two ways: one - programmers see the conversation and two, it helps the radio station meet goals for engagement and likes, and interactions, which they no doubt have as the monetization of the medium continues to evolve.
4) Be polite and courteous. Understand there are many factors involved in airplay decisions, not just requests. The quickest way to tank an artist on a radio station is to, bluntly, be a douche-bag about your desires. Remember, you get more bees with honey...

Every year, the premiere of American Idol brings speculation that this might be the year that it loses its status as TV's top show, but could this be the year another show takes the top spot?
