That's why i changed my Avi early. I thought maybe people would "pick up on it!" Would any of you twitter folk please include me in your wishes for Adam? I don't do twit and would like to send some BD love too. Not asking anyone to use my name..just a shout out from some of the 'tech-less' on the planet who love him too.  Thanks!!  I wil!!! Folks, help me out - I know the FAULT ordering info was posted but I have not saved it. Unfortunately I have no time to go back and look for it - does anyone have the instructions/links ready? I also remember that one has to go through FB account. I have one but it is totally fake, so will I be able to order and enter my "real" info somewhere during the process or does it take FB attributes only? thank you in advance. PM if considered repetitive for this thread. |

Okay, I am ready to buy BTIKM for Adam's birthday. I'm not going to do this because of charts or numbers, I am going to do this because it is Adam's 30th birthday, and I want to give him a present. I think it is the perfect way to celebrate Era 2 and his new decade. I also think it is fun to celebrate together. Doing something together makes it a birthday PARTY. It unifies us and brings us together and that is always a good time. I am sending Adam some mint chip avied birthday love on twitter, requesting his song, and buying the single. I am doing it because I can.  All great suggestions/actions. I will follow suit. I have no idea at all what makes numbers go up or down, what gets songs played on radio, just know I love Adam and in the short term want him to have a happy birthday and in the long run want TRESPASSING and BTIKM to be successful. My copies of TRESPASSING are already ordered and BTIKM is on my IPod, but tomorrow someone I love or at least care about will be gifted one of each - like you, just because I can. Despite my aversion to mint things, I also changed my Twitter avi to one depicting mint/cc ice cream that I stole from someone else. |

Geez, Is it just me?! I would never ask for a pic at the airport of someone who just had a 10 hour flight! I would probably hit someone if they asked me for a pic!! Where is Neil when we need him?! I was wondering about where his new Lane is? Or did he travel without an assistant? |

So Adam is actually asking us to make our own page, which is joined to his for our birthdays? Is that right? :-/ Hmmm, it's a beautiful concept but I don't actually get that many BD gifts or people I could ask to donate! My interpretation is that, when it's your Bday, you do your own page and ask people to donate $$ in lieu of gifts. His goal is set at $100,000, but he mentions that *we* could raise over a million dollars (in my words, *together if we all do this for our Bdays*). I could be wrong, but it seems confusing if we do our own pages instead of donating to his Bday campaign. Hope I'm being clear...lol! I seem to have confused myself, even though I know what I'm trying to say. Should be fun to watch the contributions though. Wonder how much over it will go this time? Unfortunately, except for my hubby who already has my birthday present planned, I will be giftless, so I will just donate myself and pretend I am popular. |

PM if considered repetitive for this thread. If I understood it correctly, you need FB to place a deposit (which is why I couldn't do it). The more deposits - the lower the price goes. But we can actually start pre-ordering on March 1st, and I sure hope we wouldn't need a FB account for that! I'm pretty sure we wouldn't. |

I wonder why Adam hasn't tweeted it himself, though? He got too busy with promo press and traveling?  I wondered too..perhaps Adam thought he covered that he was giving his birthday to charity:water in his message, but he wasn't clear. This looks like a bonafide campaign set up again for Adam's BD. Is it? Neither Adam nor charity:water has tweeted about the birthday campaign, but charity:water usually doesn't tweet about individual fund-raising campaigns (they probably assume that the people setting up the campaigns will tweet about it themselves). I poked around the charity:water site and I decided that Adam's campaign looked legit to me, so I donated. I got a confirmation email and a tax receipt from charity:water right away, so I think it's all good. I saw some confusion on twitter earlier about Adam's charity:water campaign, so maybe we should tweet about it? It also might help to build awareness. Right now there is only $4,400 in donations -- I think a lot of people don't even know about the program. Hopefully, Adam will tweet about it at some point. |
