I am looking forward to Adam on Idol this Sunday!! Although... his bleached hair makes me a bit nervous. I have been watching Idol all season so far and I realized the other day that 9 of the top 12 contestants are from the South. Thankfully, not all of them are country artists, which I bet made it more interesting for Adam from a mentoring perspective  I really like the girl from New York (We Ani) and the young guy from Hawaii (Iam Tongi) but as usual my top picks never win. Adam came the closest back then haha. I still enjoy the show and I feel entertained by young folks pursuing what they feel passionate about. I think that Ryan Seacrest is still a fan, and I have a feeling that he may be one of those who have kept pulling strings to invite Adam back on Idol. Of course, I have no idea how it all works, and Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame week seems like a perfect fit. Loved the interview btw. Short and crisp and not too repetitive. Does anyone remember when Katy Perry performed as a guest on Adams season of AI? She wore a white cape with Adam’s name on the back. So wonderful! He really seems to present these new looks when he comes on Idol. The last time (he mentored for Queen Night then performed on the finale) it was the hair extensions and exaggerated bell bottoms (many unkind comments). Then maybe a year later he performed "Believe" on The Voice finale and he looked like a movie star. HA! Fingers crossed as Ryan called him the Idol rock Icon last week when announced he would mentor.I just googled Adam Lambert/The Voice finale/Believe to refresh my memory and wow(!) he looked like a movie star indeed when he performed that duet in 2019. I wanted to bring it over but couldn't figure out how as the video popped up on TV Guide. Looks wise that performance reminds me of the CMA appearance with Leona L. As Adam likes to change things up, I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for Sunday lol    Took some searching, lol! still takes my breath away. Wish he could have brought that to the Idol stage. I hadn't seen that one in a long time, and Adam did indeed look so beautiful and that duet was so wonderful. Also can't wait to see Adam on Idol. He is such a great mentor with so many helpful comments, and he really relates to the contestants in such a positive way. Also remember the Katy Perry cape! Have to say I also didn't care for the hair extensions and outfit when he mentored on Queen night. Hope we're not TOO surprised by his look this time around - would love to see him looking similar to his appearance on TMJ (or on this Voice finale). Still have "Muffin Man" rolling around in my head constantly! I too like the guy from Hawaii, but like sizzling, my favorites never win. But look how far coming in second place took our Adam! |

@lurleene, thanks for for your "searching" and for posting the Voice Finale duet video. I am sure it serves as "eye candy" for many lol. Thanks to katycake for bringing over Katie Perry's Idol performance from way back when Adam was in the competition. She made it clear what a big Adam fan she was and I saw them hanging out and pictured together a few times post Idol. |
