twitter.com/4evrmomof4/status/1657144951531028480Fans have also complained that the judges have not given helpful critiques to the contestants throughout Season 21, pointing to recent mentorship sessions Morissette and “Idol” alum Adam Lambert, who’s a very popular judge on the British talent show “Starstruck,” as examples of the kind of feedback the singers need consistently. When Lambert appeared on “Idol” in April, Twitter lit up with fans begging for the “Queen” frontman to become a judge on the show. One wrote, “Seriously, @adamlambert was the best mentor I have ever seen on #AmericanIdol or even #TheVoice for that matter. He really knows what he is doing. He needs to be a judge. Tonight’s #Idol blew me away. All the singers were so talented and Adam showed them how to bring their A game.” heavy.com/entertainment/american-idol/luke-bryan-suggests-taking-break/

The long sleeves on Adam may not be the best look but for some reason they don't bother me at all. I guess I am so happy to see him in good shape and not buried under those big boxy unflattering and layered cover-ups that I can't complain, lol.

I respect Adam's passion. There is a lot of misunderstanding out there about drag in general. He has tried to clear that up, but I'm not sure it will make a difference to many people. As far as the whole dressing=up thing goes, some children (and adults) find circus clowns and their extreme clothing and makeup absolutely terrifying. And yet circus clowns are intended to entertain children. I think drag has its place, but not everyone agrees that children should be exposed to it. Parents should have that option for their own kids. This whole thing is just one small part of a larger attempt to marginalize people who are different and to literally take away their rights. It makes me wonder if they are going after drag queens to take the focus off of the bigger harm they are doing to chip away at LGBT rights. They know most people don't think drag shows should be for kids and by claiming they are protecting kids changes the issue. Unless the kids are in clubs it shouldn't be much of a problem. But look over here at the drag queens when Florida just signed a law making it okay to deny medical services to LGBT people based on their religious objections. Book bans related to race or sexuality. Can't speak about sexuality to a student who may have questions because that would mean teaching about sex or indoctrination. I remember when I graduated from college, I taught for about 4 months (long term temp) before I went into the corporate world. There was this really cute blonde kid, who instead of going to lunch with the other kids, would eat his lunch in my classroom with me everyday to talk. He was in a blended family (step dad in the military) and his older step brothers would pick on him and call his gay because of his looks. The harassment was getting too much for him. He felt very comfortable talking to me about his feelings and stress and not being happy in the new family. It probably helped that I looked much younger than I was and was more of a flashy dresser and looked more like a student than the regular teachers, lol.) But he found great comfort in talking with me and I told him that even if he were gay (he wasn't) that he was worthy of being accepted and not picked on. I encouraged him to talk to his mother and step father which he did in time with a little push. I guess in this climate, I would have been banned for even trying to help a student cope and feel good about himself. That's a beautiful Story. I Bet that Student still remembers you! Heartwarming

All of the above comments on the drag queen readings and Adam's response. The internet is a dangerous thing. People I knew in another fandom label me as a "Demoncrat". Oh well, I go to a christian church every Sunday and sing in the choir. There are several gay persons in the congregation and the choir. No one is a groomer. (I will not go further into politics per the guidelines for this forum.)
