I am of course very impressed with Adam's vocals and cannot wait for QAL in November (crossing my fingers Brian and Roger will be strong and healthy for a long time), but I wanted to mention something that might not have been discussed yet and that I was a bit concerned about. The new drummer. I must say I am super pleased with her performance. Since she is left-handed, the band had to reposition themselves to let her be on the other side of the stage, but it worked seamlessly. I know these people are professionals, but it takes time to gel as a band, and if I did not have the videos, I wouldn't have been able to tell there was a line-up change... Yes, the band was excellent!!
I'm curious, what is it about drums that required them to be positioned according to if the drummer is right or left handed? |

I'm curious, what is it about drums that required them to be positioned according to if the drummer is right or left handed? I am speculating here, as I am not a drummer ( girldrummer can probably answer this better). However, my understanding is that when you are a left-handed player, your focus is mainly on the right side, since the hi hat is on the right side. So in order to keep track of what Adam and the rest of the band are doing, it is a good idea to be on the left side of the stage, looking right towards the center. Nope, won't be queing either. At least Not much. I don't think i can convince some Casual Fan to stand in Line for hours for Adam lol...also...i might Just want to be doing Other Things in the rare occcation that i'm in Cologne. My train to cologne leaves tomorrow at noon 😁 |

My train to cologne leaves tomorrow at noon 😁 So you’re going to have a long weekend in Cologne? That sounds great! Do you have any plans? I´ve been in Cologne twice, and each time I ended up in the Kölner Dom and at the shore of the river Rhein. With the hot weather this upcoming Saturday I wouldn’t even want to queue… at least not in the sun. If anybody here plans to do that: take a lot of water, sun screen ans sun shelter with you! The weather forecast says sunny with 31 degrees Celsius. For me it will only be a short stay and I will have to take my dog with me, since none of my sitters is available. Therefore I have to take the car and drive to Köln on Friday after work. And I know already that it will be awful with all the rush hour and weekend travel on the Autobahn A2.  However, I will spend the Saturday before the concert with my dog in some nice park and then leave him in the car in some underground parking lot for the time of the concert. He’s small and will simply sleep there. It’s all good, I just won’t have time for meet-ups with other fans. But there will be a next time. And on our way back afan friend will join us on the way home. |
