I am so all over, around, on top and inside this album! Oh - - why wasn't I there at Zell am See or whatever it's called for this performance??? It was close, it was fabulous, and those people were milling about . . . oh, Adam, Adam, Adam!

You know what I think? I think Adam has achieved something very rare. A true belief in himself.

Any of you who really thought they would allow a high quality stream of the unreleased songs were in dreamland. We are WAY to far away from album release for that to happen. OOL was already performed months ago so we got that one but I've been really surprised at anyone thinking we'd hear other songs. I'll bet we weren't even supposed to get that little that we did get. Given the cut out at the beginning of WWFM I think there was confusion over what was supposed to be blocked or someone hit the wrong button and put Adam back on line instead of the DJ. I don't remember seeing anything in the lead up that guaranteed that we would hear new songs. Seems to me that they didn't really know ahead of time what songs he was doing.

I may be the only one who thinks so but I didn't like a thing about that performance. Granted it was a stream and who knows what the room actually sounded like. Well, I do think Kevin is going to mesh really well. Couldn't hear any kind of beat from Isaac and very little guitar. I don't know, they all seemed to be struggling -- including Adam. Of course, its been awhile since he's played such a cold room. Crap, the crowd wasn't giving him anything. I am asking myself : "Why of all venues and audiences in the whole world, why they selected this?" Q3, any idea? Well, I'm not Q3, but this was not a show per se. It was a showcase. So basically a performance meant to introduce Adam and his album to radio people and to gain the good will of the radio station. It was expected that people in the audience were not going to be his fans. It is what it is. Such is the life of an artist, sometimes you play to tough crowds and need to prove yourself. |

[grins] Or they were playing an audience who KNEW TO BE QUIET during acoustic songs!! They weren't quiet, that's the thing. We (on the stream) couldn't hear the audience because of the direct feed from his mike to the stream, but you could see it on the video that people were talking amongst each other while he was singing. My heart sank a little, not gonna lie. They were like that the whole time tho. Awkward white audience was awkward and white. LOL. I have to say it's a weird gig. I hope there is some incentive with European radio to play it because it didn't seem media/industry related and the crowd was very, uh, COMATOSE lol, and it was just kinda odd all around. I hope there was a good reason to do this besides a nice pay check--like hopefully this gains him some more exposure in that part of europe. IDK IDK |

He mentioned that the room was smokey at the very beginning when he walked in. I thought he sounded great, but he was drinking a lot of water or whatever. 8-)

SRSLY. I may totally sound entitled here but if the management thing is true I am hella pissed. I mean it's OKAY to let one effin song get out there? I mean it helps build buzz. And these promoters knew fans would be watching this fucking stream and then they just fuck it all up? Srsly. Maybe I am just so pissed because I wanted to hear some NEW SHIT. I mean he sounded lovely and perfect and everything, but if I wanted to hear those songs I woulda just went on youtube not wasted all this time SITTING THROUGH RACOONS AND AWKWARD WHITE PEOPLE WITH A FUCKIN MIGRAINE only to get majorly cock blocked. Good lord. CHUNKEY RAGE CHUNKEY SMASH!!! LOLOLOL. Srsly tho, it's fine if another song gets out Adam. Srsly. God damnit loosen those chains a bit. THIS!!! I hope I can say this on this board... well I am anyway. I love what we got don't get me wrong. But if, and it sounds like it from the tweet we got, they intentionally cut Trespassing out I am upset right now. I am trying not to sound entitled, but when the all the insiders get to hear Trespassing that is one thing. But now he is performing in front of people and the fans are shunned. I have been fine hearing about how great some of the songs are but this just makes me frustrated at the moment. I will get over it, but as Chunky said "Adam. Srsly. God damnit loosen those chains a bit." So now instead of being on a high, I am feeling over invested and should just be quiet now. There, I said it. He DID vocally sound out standing and what I did hear I loved to end on an up beat... |
