Adam is looking amazing these days. I mean, even more amazing than usual. If that's what juicing does for you, I should probably give it a try.

Apple, ginger, cucumber...all of those I can handle. Beets? But he looks better than I've ever seen him, so clearly he's onto something. ETA: Cassie, that's a really astute analysis. Also I believe that most young people are at heart completely scared of stepping over the line of what the cool kids are listening to/following. So if their friends aren't into it...I'm sympathetic, because I remember only too well being the "different" one in high school. Hence...Exhibit A: Bieber. Aka Donnie Osmond (I meant to congratulate whoever made that comparison earlier, it is DEAD on.) Exhibit B: Keisha. (Blech.)

Since we were talking about our tendency to analyze every Adam word and performance, thought I would share what I just heard on PBS driving to pick up a pizza. They were talking about wine. Seems there have been a number of "blind" wine tasting experiments where experts tasted a very cheap wine and a very expensive wine while being told they were both expensive bottles. On average, the "experts" could not tell the difference in taste quality. In another instance, the SAME wine was put in two different carafes to pour, and the "experts" couldn't tell they were the same, but were influenced in their opinion by the price they were told the wines cost. The more "expensive" wine was rated higher. What has this to do with Adam, analyzing his voice, pop music, etc? We all have our preferences in music as well as wine. But, even music "experts" can be influenced greatly by what they are told about music, or how that music is presented. Frame Adam as the runner-up on a TV reality show that generally has non-descript, average singers who don't make it outside of reality TV, and they are likely to dismiss Adam, even after hearing him. Frame Adam as the theater kid posing as a rock star while screaming, and they will hear screaming and OTT drama, even when the voice is actually powerful, clear, ringing in tone and perfect for the song at that point. Frame Adam as the gay guy who kissed a dude and simulated oral sex on national TV, and people just don't like his voice --- tho they are not homophobic, mind you. "Here's the new single by Katy Perry/Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars." "Ooh, I love her/him! All my friends watch their videos and trade their songs. This song is awesome!!!" "Here's the new single by Adam Lambert." "Ugh, that gay guy with the eyeliner who screamed on Idol? Hate the song." Fact is, there are consumers out there who cannot tell much difference between voices, and they go with the masses when it comes to what songs they like. I think that is another reason that I analyze Adam's singing. I want others to listen critically, with new ears, paying attention to what makes the voice and the song special. Adam Music Appreciation 101. :-[ This is why I am so pleased to read "expert" after "expert" talking about Adam's incredible range, his power, his impeccable vocals, his being one of the best singers in the biz, etc. They are reframing Adam for the general public. Pair that with the classy, chic, sophisticated, mature Adam in Era 2, and maybe people will HEAR him differently, and appreciate his talent. Wow, Cassie. This is incredibly insightful!! Thank you.

Can someone remind me who has credits on Trespassing-the song. I love.love.love it. Even got that sexy Elvis curled-lip sneer werking. 8-) 'Trespassing' -Dr. Luke, Pharrell Williams and songwriter Bonnie McKee. (Press Party) Byron Cooke's review: TRESPASSING : The title track [written by Adam & Pharrell Williams] is BANGIN! Really feelin that “We Will Rock You” inspired opening rhythm, the bass lines got an “Another One Bites The Dust” feel to it and theres a really cool guitar hook. Best line has gotta be “Wait till ya get a load of me”. Theres a breakdown part near the end just straight Adam vox and drums..no bass. Sick. Thank You 8-)

Just read over 49 pages ,after getting back home from seeing "The Artist" wonderful film, dog should get academy award for stealing the movie.
I laughed as I read everyone's story about what they went through in order to hear the stream from Austria, crazy hilarious!
I was thinking about the audience and how disappointed everyone seemed at their less than enthusiastic reception. It's funny, but I did little theater and some times the least responsive audience was the one that loved the performance the most. Can't always judge how people feel by their outward appearance. I was amazed at Adams' ability to perform so wonderfully. Who can fly for 10 hours,go through sleep deprivation,a cold climate with high altitude, low oxygen, interviews outside ,no scarf,or warm clothing, probably little to eat, a smoke filled room and sing like that???? Only one person in the world that I know, ADAM.
